I really don' t know why people complain so much about this production. I think this is due to the misunderstanding of the deep story and the world presented in this game. The game has not only delivered me back to the infinity engine era, but has also streamlined many aspects and added a lot of functionality. If someone is not playing this game and is a RPG fan let's buy, will not regret. You just have to approach this game with your head like to Planescape: Torment.
Could be a masterpiece but has some serious fun-killing flaws:
- You enter a building - loading screen, you go upstairs - loading screen, you go downstairs - loading screen, you exit the building - loading screen, you go to another location - loading screen... approx. 40% of game time are loading screens. Come on, it's 21st century. Why hasn't the developer fixed this issue since the release???
- No advanced inventory management. In mid/late-game you collect tons of different items and there is no convenient way to manage them. I've never used consumables. I don't even know half of the items in my stash because it's no fun to delve in this junkyard. Especially considering the fact that equippment bonuses don't stack, so you have to rearrange all items when you equip something with a duplicated parameter.
- Battles normally end in just a few seconds. Also the resting mechanics copied from Baldur's Gate makes little sense in a video game and is just annoying, just like in BG.
Love this game! A MUST BUY (Especially with the DLCs), ESPECIALLY for those AVOWED fans.
Deep Lore. Fantastic combat mechanics. Replayability is HIGH AF

Well made and all...but they forgot to make it any fun. I just felt like I was walking around doing routine stuff. How monotonous! And the graphics look cheap, kinda cartoonish.
I didn`t expect much but this is better than I expected.
It`s probably been said before, but it has an extremely Baldur`s GGate 2 feel. Some parts of it, look like they`re taken almost straight out of that, except animation and graphics is much better and you can even zoom in a little.
Graphics is really nice, even though everything is from a far top-down view. Music`s pretty good. General side Quest and stories are quite interesting.
I`m tired of the constant he/she, him/her talk though on items, spells, characters. It`s like they copied pasted "he" with him/her, so you can`t go by one sentence without it. Just say him or her depending on situation and generally just use he, stop pandering. I know I waste my time.
Also female statues that represent goddesses are rubbish, they look nothing like you`d expect. Nothing `godlike` about them. Skyrim`s look right, for an example. Might as well just be a statue of a man, they can`t look like traditional female statues for muh feminism, I suspect. Really kills the feeling of an ancient medievalesque world.
Anyway. It`s pretty good so far.
