o·mer·ta (-mûrt, mr-tä) - A rule or code that prohibits speaking or divulging information about the activities of a criminal organization.
Bug-eyed Bettys are making a racket with “lips that touch wine, won’t kiss mine” and not minding their own beeswax. The fuzz are busy closing down the local juice joints and pouring perfectly good spirits down the drain. All this fuss about liquor sure can drive a man to drink. It isn’t easy to wet one’s whistle but there some bootleggers who are always happy to provide as long as you got the scratch.
Omerta: City of Gangsters puts you into the boots of a fresh-from-the-boat immigrant with dreams of the big life. Work your way up the criminal hierarchy of 1920’s Atlantic City, starting with small jobs, recruiting new gang members and expanding your empire by taking territory from other mobsters. The version currently on sale on GOG is broken and its not possible to play and more than the first mission.
Do not purchase this game until it is fixed unless you like paying $19.99 for a one mission demo :-(

I dont know why people underestimate the game. It is a common strategy game to take over rackets, breweries ect. with turn base combat movement. If you are lovers of gangsters game take it without hesitation. The bad critics have discouraged me but they were wrong.
It's not polished nor is the menu's or mechanic's done like you'd expect, but if you get past all that and work out how some of the features function there is a really good game under all the dirt. The combat reminded me of classic Fallout 1 and 2, but not as much fun. It seemed very stiff and overly difficult at times. My favorite part of the game by far is the building and management aspect, which luckily is what you spend most of your time doing. Each scenario offers multiple ways to complete and the overall story is interesting and easy to follow.
For a 999mb file size game I expect a bit more from it. I thought based on screenshot & name it might have something to do with Jagged Alliance. Boy was I wrong, it might even be its little unpolished brother.
