In the Time of the Ancients, the Worldly Realm was ruled by a God of pure evil, who enslaved all humankind under his Dominion. But fear turned to anger as rebellion grew in the hearts of men - until the dawn of the Great Rising, when the fight for freedom began. After a glorious victory that cast aside the Fallen God, humans dictated a new order... a world where no sin can ever be forgiven and redemption was not an option.
Now, millennia later, the world trembles in fear as the Demonic Rhogar Legion returns from their dark realm, driven by a foul hunger for innocent spirits. Humanity, in a desperate last act, calls upon an unlikely defender - a convicted sinner, rejected by society and cast out of the light... a man known as Harkyn. Now, alongside his mentor, Kaslo, they must travel to the source of the Darkness... to face the Lords of the Fallen.
Plunge into a fast paced action RPG with a complex and satisfying melee combat system where weapons, armor and skills directly influence the enemy's speed and attacks... if all else fails, lay waste to your foes using forbidden magic power.
Key Features:

What a nice surprise and a trip down memory lane. No mini map, no map. That lovely old school gaming difficultly where learning the game was what was needed to best your enemies.
I'm having a blast leveling up, carefully planning my skill point allocation, exploring the game world, learning my enemies fighting tatics and finding beautifully detailed weapons and armour.
The pacing in this game is slow and intimate, but if you're willing to 'role play' in this action role playing game you're in for a immersive adventure which is challenging and enjoyable.
Very enjoying play through.
Do to my age I am now a casual gamer, wish I had more time for it but responsibilities limit me.
That said this game delivers just enough challenge to show off the improvements you make as you play the game. It is not so challenging that you are going to be spending hours and hours honing skills just defeat the bosses but challenging enough that you will die a few times before being able to beat them.
The length of the game is rather short but as I said being that I have only a little time to play games this actually worked in its favor.
As far as combat goes, it takes awhile to get used to and can feel a bit sluggish at times but overall it is still a good experience. Once you are able to get the hang of the timing and the distance that you travel as you make a certain strike you will be able to have fun with the combat.
Story is just meh, there should background about who the main character is. You get hints and some history but it is pretty bland and doesn't do much to round out your character.
The weapons and armor are a lot of fun, my only issue is that they seem a bit static. Would much prefer to have it be more like a diablo or borderlands type of feel where there were a lot of different weapons/armor options that could drop.
The level up system is fine with nothing much to write home about though it is simple enough that you don't have to spend a large amount of time to understand how best to build your character.
Overall the game gets a 4 because it was an enjoyable experience and it was engaging, better then average.
The comparison with the Dark Souls saga is inevitable so, pointing to that...
Of course, the game is shorter than Dark Souls, this is a small studio but, even being a Souls like game has its own feeling. I think that heavy armor feels really heavy and not just a status like in DS, the builds are simpler but effective, nothing is misplaced. I LOVE the models and the graphics in general, the weapons are amazing too and the quest, short but is not WOW, you need to think about it, no just following an arrow in the map.
I can't write long reviews so, yes, Play it. This game worth way more than 11USD. Go ahead.
It's a solid mediocre experience. Good for a little while when it's excitingly new to you.
Totally overpriced. Asking 30$ regular base price for a mediocre game after 9 years? That's just as delirious as Ubisoft and EA.
Nowadays it should be regular base price at 10 to 15$ at best.
I recommend getting in on sale below 5$.
I'm new into Souls-like games. So far it has been a good experience. I didn't finish it yet, but I'm still curious to see what is coming next. It is a very cheap game so it's definitely worth trying.
