In the Time of the Ancients, the Worldly Realm was ruled by a God of pure evil, who enslaved all humankind under his Dominion. But fear turned to anger as rebellion grew in the hearts of men - until the dawn of the Great Rising, when the fight for freedom began. After a glorious victory that cast aside the Fallen God, humans dictated a new order... a world where no sin can ever be forgiven and redemption was not an option.
Now, millennia later, the world trembles in fear as the Demonic Rhogar Legion returns from their dark realm, driven by a foul hunger for innocent spirits. Humanity, in a desperate last act, calls upon an unlikely defender - a convicted sinner, rejected by society and cast out of the light... a man known as Harkyn. Now, alongside his mentor, Kaslo, they must travel to the source of the Darkness... to face the Lords of the Fallen.
Plunge into a fast paced action RPG with a complex and satisfying melee combat system where weapons, armor and skills directly influence the enemy's speed and attacks... if all else fails, lay waste to your foes using forbidden magic power.

I think I understand why this game cops so much flak. It was the first soulslike to be announced and come out, the developer's previous work left alot to be desired and at the core it is very similar to the Soulsbourne games,
Does that mean it's bad? No, this game didn't need to be just as good just be good by it's own standards.
Honestly the game does enough differently in every area that it does feel like it's own thing and the wholly new stuff CI added, they're great. Like enemy respawns being a only a death penalty, exp multipliers which makes the combat feel more arcadey and great boss battles. Yes it's not as hard as the Soulsbournes but the bosses in this game are a real highlight and while some you can beat first time around, most of them do still offer up a solid challenge alongside some of the regular enemies.
At it's worst Lords is a strong 6/10, an alright game and at it's best a weak 7, a good game and makes for a great introduction to the realm of soulslikes for newcomers to this new sub genre. So if you're thinking about grabbing it either on sale or full price I'd say go for it and give it a chance.
The game is forgiving, combat is slow so you can learn the move patterns but its a game easy to play hard to master, made for casual players.
I will place here some info about the game:
When i pick the guntlet and freeze in place, just press Shift + direction
If you are helping "Yetka" and she tells you to avoid the guardian, u simply follow her then face him, u can should do both.
I thought that Lords of the Fallen was a pretty good game overall. The only real issues i had were with some sort of bug causing the game to crash in the Labyrinth DLC several times. Other than that it was pretty stable throughout the rest of the game and it was fun. Honestly at the end, though, it was super easy and I felt OP but it was still alot of fun. Definitely worth a playthrough.
The game looks pretty so I gave it a shot, but oh boy, this combat is broken, the enemies telegraph the attacks poorly and they change the direction of their attacks mid animation, which renders the dodge highly unreliable, there's a difference between difficulty and the game outright cheating on you, avoid yourself the frustration, don't play this one

This is a game that I have tried really hard to like. I have tried three times and failed every time. The game isn't poorly made; is similar to Dark Souls, but more truncated. I managed to really like Demon's Souls on PS3, which has PS2 graphics, but this one, for some reason, didn't grab me at all.
