BUILD YOUR FORTRESS
Design, build and expand your settlement from a small wooden hut into a colossal stone castle. With simple-to-use 3D terrain tools you can create the perfect stronghold, from winding underground caverns to sprawling multi-story forts.
DEFEND YOUR COLONY

As a great fan of Rimworld, I discover this game some months ago and waited for the release, I was appeal by the 3D looks + the building systems. And It's super cool, to be able to build something in 3D.
Rimworld fans will not be lost, because a lot of IU, mechanics etc, are similar to Rimworld.
Because it's in development, it lacks a lot of things I guess, and need some rework, like the "room design" thing. Etc. But overall it's a pretty good game.
Addictive gameplay, few bugs, and the developers do a great job with communication and keeping the game up to date here on GOG. Great example of an in development game handled right.
Going Medieval has some bright sides but asynchronous gameplay leaves much to desire. In addition, hazardrous events destroy your planning. I got vegetable rot every summer and deep freeze every winter. My people had almost nothing to eat, but threw all the deer that I hunted away and fed the wolves. A Tree dies in about a year and my people were upset, that they had nothing to drink, but I got 156 barrels of vinegar in my storage, in less than 5 years. I know England has a special relationship with vinegar but this needs work. A lot of it ...
So the gameplay reminds me a lot of RimWorld, which is not a bad thing. There are subtle differences (no need to clean - medieval settlers were not as keen on hygine as spacefarers - or the need to keep records for example) and the setting presents some obvious differences. Not having access to power and thus freezers means you need to keep watch on your storage.
Also: This game is obviously still in development, a lot of features are yet to be implemented, so the review might have to be adjusted depending on later updates.
I'm totally in the fanboy status right now. There is (HOPING!) a lot of work to do until it reaches its apex, but RIGHT NOW, it's a perfect "sink hours" game. Unless the devs messes this up like almost none in the world, this is an "above~average" game for any Rimworld fan (IMHO), RIGHT NOW.
So... it can only get better.
But for the price paid, it's perfect as it is. =)
