Darkham, with its crooked gambrel roofs, dark alleys, and a past shrouded in secrecy, never really was a welcoming place, but nowadays? Kooky cults are popping up everywhere, and that most evil book, the Necronomicon, is spoken of in trembling whispers once more.
Detective Don R. Ketype is on the case to retrieve the mysterious evil tome, but unsuspecting librarian Buzz Kerwan stumbles upon it and accidentally transforms his cat, Kitteh, into a walking, talking abomination. Being humanized? Quite a downgrade.

I was really surprised by the quality this game offered me at the beggining, Great graphics and great voice acting, everything to have you focused on what is about to happen.
However, the story became too complicated for me to follow, and that quickly turned my gaming experience, into something mechanical. I wasn't invested anymore because it was not clear to me what I
was doing or where I was going. I was just trying to solve puzzles (which are all pretty decent but sometimes too linear for my taste), hoping that at one point maybe all will make sense. That never happened, and the ending left me wondering if my dialog choices / actions along the way had an influence on it ( spoiler: they didn't)
I hope the next game from this studio will be able to offer a more pleasant playing experience, seeing how it always references and pays homage to the Monkey Island series - maybe they can learn more from that.
Very nice graphics and scenery. Lot of animations. The puzzles vary between great and using the right object and, yes, sometiimes exhausting every combination but wait, only in the beginning of the game there are a bit too many combinations and it are only a few in the rest of the game and leaving out the really illogical ones you use find it in a few clicks. I didn't need a walkthrough for anything (unlike about every other adventure I played).
The interface is easy to use with a bar with your few inventory items at the bottom that can be closed or left open.
This is an excellent adventure and it can compare to the great ones back in the day (think 90's beginning 2000's)
Although I don't think all the puzzle solutions are inherently obvious (which they shouldn't be), I do like the option to show all the click areas rather than moving the mouse around to find all of them.
It's a good effort, but don't go in expecting a sprawling point & click adventure with great puzzles. There's just enough of those to make this game more than a visual novel. but not enough to satisfy an avid P&C fan. Lots and lots of dialogue.
Production value is high: great voice acting and OST, beautiful art, simple and elegant UI.
