World domination in your hands
I will not compare this to any of it's predecessors since I haven't completed any of the DK series. Evil Genius is a base building game. What you do in the game is make rooms in your evil island for your minions to interact with. The rooms could be for replenishing their stats, training them as other minion types, researching items around the base, etc. Though there are certain rooms that are for other uses, like the vault to store money, the cell room for capturing enemies and grabbing weapons, or the control room to bring up the world view. The world view is a map of the world where you can select missions in which they either progress the story, steals a item in which minions can look at, pick up henchmen or kidnap people with certain abilities in which you can interrogate for said ability. Your goal is to create a doomsday machine to rule the world with, you fail by your main getting killed. Yes he does have bodyguards, but they are as powerful as a yellow minion (starting minions), though you do get henchmen through-out the game which have powers to make enemy managing a bit easier. Though the enemies (Forces of Justice) have their own henchmen they can send your way, in which include Rambo and James Bond. The only real problems with the game is traps and tourists. Tourists cause they are annoying, I get we are a secret island that probably shown itself as a resort so the FOJ doesn't get suspicious, and yeah you can build a hotel to keep them occupied, but once they leave and see a dead body, they freak out and when they leave they tell the FOJ and they get more suspicious. And more-so traps cause they don't work right, even if they kill your enemies your minions have just as much of a chance to get killed to, so I don't bother. If you do get this game, make sure to get the patch which you can find in the Wiki. And I have no idea how the DLC works. But yeah, I had fun.
