Evil Genius

The title basically says it all. Like Dungeon Keeper the main focus of Evil Genius is on building a base, securing your income and recruiting minions while working on your plot to take over the world. Unlike Dungeon Keeper you don't need to spend as much effort keeping your minions content and trained as in Dungeon Keeper, as long as you setup some basic facilities they'll basically take care it themselves. Additionally you don't have as much control, you can't move your minions and you don't have any spells. Overall though a very good game and a worthy spiritual successor to Dungeon Keeper

I would recommend it to any Austin Powers fan because it is just as goofy and funny! If you liked the aforesaid films and the No One Lives Forever games (1 & 2), you will love this game!

This game is pretty sweet. It does take a little effort to get your evil empire really rolling, but you really start to get into it once you can keep money coming in. When I started out building my secret base, I was instantly reminded of the Dungeon Keeper series (i hope the get on this site at some point). It also had a The Sims feel for taking care of your minions by making you take care of many kinds of attributes of the different minions. My only real complaint is that it seems kinda fishy that goverment agencies all ready know where you are at the sart of the game. Despite that, I sriously recommend this game!

Fantastic game! I'm a big RTS guy, and I've really enjoyed the unique spin that Evil Genius puts on the genre. You only have direct control over your "Genius" and a few "Henchman" while your minions move about completing the tasks you provide for them in their own time and in their own way. Being the bad guy has never felt so good. Torture, interrogate, kill, capture, and "psychologically weaken" those pesky good guys on your way to world domination!

Aside from a good gameplay, this game has amazing style and awesome animations. And the music fits it all perfectly. You won't see it on the screenshots though, it's much better in motion. I was doubtful when the game was released, and doubtful when I saw it on GoG.com. But once I played it, I say without a doubt: It's worth every cent. I've seen few games of so high quality (considering animations and overall style) in the last twenty years.
