Decent game, but not Empire Earth

Empire Earth 3 is a decent game, but besides the name it has almost nothing in common with EE1 and EE2. Graphic and gameplay are very similar to Warcraft 3. you have 3 factions to choose, build units and buildings, resource gathering is done with a single building at resource points, which you can find in any area. The only thing EE3 has in common with the other Empire Earth games, is the fact that you can advance from one age to another, which gives you new units and buildings. If you want a game like EE2, don't buy this! If you like Warcraft 3 though, this might be a nice game for you.

Can't give zero stars...

One of the worst RTS games ever made. As a fan of the series, I bought this day one, play for about 8 hours, uninstalled it and tried and successfully got my money back. Terrible controls, always bad framerate, horrible change in graphical style, lifeless soundtrack, weird voices which try to be funny... and fail, forgettable campaign and a complete lack of depth. Unlike the previous titles, there is a lack of strategy, resource management, units, building, complexity and worst of all... ERAS! Seriously I loved going through all 15 in EE1, that was the major charm to this series, now it's overly simplified and crap. Do not waste your time with this game.

This game was a total letdown

Empire Earth 3, While it was still playable and I appreciated the inclusion of a global campaign map, was a major step backwards from the series. The first is arguably the best in series, a game where you could play on a huge map (with downloadable maps that were even larger than the huge maps) from the stone age to a high tech futuristic empire, with each phase feeling fully fleshed out with a variety of units and advantages (granted the Stone Age wasn't very interesting). . A single game could literally last for hours in the original empire earth, and there were a lot of options both when creating a new game and how to proceed through a game. . Empire Earth III reduced this to extremely short battles with practically all the charm removed from it, the AI is shoddy the replay value is practically gone, there are only three civilizations you can choose from and while they're admittedly different you'll probably get bored with them rather quickly because the AI can't even tech up with the player.

Terrible game very laggy

The game concept is good but it is very laggy on my mid range computer the game could of had more work done to it and I highly recommend buying empire earths 2 instead, the game play is slow and boring with a lack of story line.

Decent game held down by crashing

Having played EE and EE2 as a kid I couldn't wait to buy this game when I saw it was on sale. Oh boy what a mistake. While the game itself is okay with mediocre graphics and pretty stupid AI, the main problem is that it keeps crashing on me! I enter a province: Crash. I leave a province: Crash. I try to build something: Crash.
