The eagerly anticipated sequel to the award-winning RPG. Gather your party. Master deep, tactical combat. Join up to 3 other players - but know that only one of you will have the chance to become a God.

The Divine is dead. The Void approaches. And the powers lying dormant within you are soon to awaken. The battle for Divinity has begun. Choose wisely and trust sparingly; darkness lurks within every heart.

Who will you be?

A flesh-eating Elf, an Imperial Lizard or an Undead, risen from the grave? Discover how the world reacts differently to who - or what - you are.

It’s time for a new Divinity!

Gather your party and develop relationships with your companions. Blast your opponents in deep, tactical, turn-based combat. Use the environment as a weapon, use height to your advantage, and manipulate the elements themselves to seal your victory.

Ascend as the god that Rivellon so desperately needs.

Explore the vast and layered world of Rivellon alone or in a party of up to 4 players in drop-in/drop-out cooperative play. Go anywhere, unleash your imagination, and explore endless ways to interact with the world. Beyond Rivellon, there’s more to explore in the brand-new PvP and Game Master modes.

  • Choose your race and origin. Choose from 6 unique origin characters with their own backgrounds and quests, or create your own as a Human, Lizard, Elf, Dwarf, or Undead. All choices have consequences.

  • Unlimited freedom to explore and experiment. Go anywhere, talk to anyone, and interact with everything! Kill any NPC without sacrificing your progress, and speak to every animal. Even ghosts might be hiding a secret or two…

  • The next generation of turn-based combat. Blast your opponents with elemental combinations. Use height to your advantage. Master over 200 skills in 12 skill schools. But beware - the game’s AI 2.0 is our most devious invention to date.

  • Up to 4-player online and split-screen multiplayer. Play with your friends online or in local split-screen with full controller support.

  • Game Master Mode: Take your adventures to the next level and craft your own stories with the Game Master Mode.

One of the best games of all time.

It's easy to assume that you know what kind of games you enjoy playing, skimming over other genres that you may or may not enjoy playing, or have little to no experience with. I made this exact mistake with this game and others in its series, picking them up when they were on sale and then immediately consigning them to the annals of the back catalogue. What a fool I was. This game is, and I say this with every ounce of sincerity that I have, is absolutely astounding. Usually if I feel like a grand quest through a vivid and storied world I simply boot up Skyrim or any other game in the Elder Scrolls series and wander the world of Tamriel, making my way through the all too familiar villages, have the same conversation with the same characters for what feels like the 100th time before I realise I have grown bored and move on to something less stale. How glad I was that this time it was Divinity: Original Sin 2. This game isn't just the story of a troubled fantasy world with a colourful texture palette slapped on top like many of the top-down RPG's I have played in my 20 year gaming veterancy. This is a living, breathing world in which every character, literally every single character you meet, will have at least some dialogue to speak to your party, even animals if you have the right perk, can offer you quests. The environments are varied and interesting, even throughout the tutorial you venture with your party through a variety of different environments and structures, seeking treasures and glory which lie, quite literally, around every corner. The combat is unrivaled by any RPG I have ever played before, allowing you to assign a formation to your party which they will take up at the start of every battle, meaning you can lead a charge on an enemy camp with your warriors at the front, or scout the encampments and fortifications using a stealth character and sneak your ranged party members into positions of high ground for an organised attack. Play this game.

Subpar storytelling

The game offers a lot of possibilities but is ruined by a subpar storytelling. The story and dialogues are mostly unintersting but the game is very good when not trying to be serious. Talking with animals is very fun for exemple. The games suffers from one other big problem : the balance. You'll have to quicksave all the time. even in easy mode. This his very frustrating. Last problem is the camera : The environment is pretty and very detailed, sometime too much and you can't zoom out enough. It's not good for the readability.

One God Of A Game

Started on the Xbox and didn't finish because I and it (the game, DOS II) can't be trapped there--and its SCREAMING to be played on PC. No sh1t. Anyway, I bought it again and don't usually--if ever--buy two copies of a game (out of principle, pooey DRM ahem ungnh), but this is the de-facto turn based RPG experience to date. Want to teleport a monster beyond a chasm covered in poison, then lob a fireball at the poison and create a massive burning field of cursed fire for the monster to waddle back to you from? Well, you can. Honestly, finding new ways to transform the environment (and your enemies health) take the cake for me--its the most enjoyable and creative combat of any game ever made. You have the freedom to carve out your own adventure--and the system is so simple, one can take out enemies a few level above themselves

Good combat, but terrible endings...

Pick this game up if you only care about game play and not story because the endings are trash imho. You can have a lot of fun experimenting with different character builds and the battles can be dynamic, so there is fun to be had here. This was a 4 or 5 star game for me until the very last boss fight and ending. The last boss fight is either incredibly hard or stupid easy if you cheese it. The ending is really unrewarding. That's all I can really say without spoiling anything.
