The eagerly anticipated sequel to the award-winning RPG. Gather your party. Master deep, tactical combat. Join up to 3 other players - but know that only one of you will have the chance to become a God.

The Divine is dead. The Void approaches. And the powers lying dormant within you are soon to awaken. The battle for Divinity has begun. Choose wisely and trust sparingly; darkness lurks within every heart.

Who will you be?

A flesh-eating Elf, an Imperial Lizard or an Undead, risen from the grave? Discover how the world reacts differently to who - or what - you are.

It’s time for a new Divinity!

Gather your party and develop relationships with your companions. Blast your opponents in deep, tactical, turn-based combat. Use the environment as a weapon, use height to your advantage, and manipulate the elements themselves to seal your victory.

Ascend as the god that Rivellon so desperately needs.

Explore the vast and layered world of Rivellon alone or in a party of up to 4 players in drop-in/drop-out cooperative play. Go anywhere, unleash your imagination, and explore endless ways to interact with the world. Beyond Rivellon, there’s more to explore in the brand-new PvP and Game Master modes.

  • Choose your race and origin. Choose from 6 unique origin characters with their own backgrounds and quests, or create your own as a Human, Lizard, Elf, Dwarf, or Undead. All choices have consequences.

  • Unlimited freedom to explore and experiment. Go anywhere, talk to anyone, and interact with everything! Kill any NPC without sacrificing your progress, and speak to every animal. Even ghosts might be hiding a secret or two…

  • The next generation of turn-based combat. Blast your opponents with elemental combinations. Use height to your advantage. Master over 200 skills in 12 skill schools. But beware - the game’s AI 2.0 is our most devious invention to date.

  • Up to 4-player online and split-screen multiplayer. Play with your friends online or in local split-screen with full controller support.

  • Game Master Mode: Take your adventures to the next level and craft your own stories with the Game Master Mode.

This is as good as RPG mechanics get!

This game provides the ultimate roleplaying experience in videogames. The game gives you freedom to solve things and get through battles in a wide array of ways. Mechanics-wise, this is as good as an RPG gets. Combat can be challenging and punishing but rarely feels unfair; it just takes a bit of preparation and proper strategizing. I have to say I gave up on the original D:OS due to the story getting a bit goofy for my taste and not that well written. D:OS2 learned from its predecessor's misgivings and delivers a great and darker story with incredible writing, not to mention top tier voice acting. Did I mention the game's dialogs are fully voiced? This is not normal por a cRPG, but Larian somehow managed it. I really liked how the game's main quests tie up to personal/companion quests. This game has some top notch design. I cannot recommend enough that you roleplay your way through this and not resort to a reload fest when you screw up (unless you're stuck), and instead try to fix your mistakes and accept the outcomes of your actions. Character creation allows you to either create a character from zero or choose and personalize one of the available pre-scripted characters. I recommend doing the latter, as it adds cool personal quests. In any case, whichever characters you do not play as are available as companions. As to bugs, I only ran into one which ruined my fun while it lasted, but hopefully it's been already patched. Once I got through that bit, I was back to getting immersed in this experience.

A near flawless game

I would love to give this a five star review but in its current state I simply cannot. The game is amazing all the way until its final act called Arx. This act just feels unfinished and rushed so many of the encounters are unbalanced, so many puzzles that are simply too difficult to decipher without a guide because the game does a very poor job at explaining how to solve, so many quests that are bugged to the point where they stay incomplete even though you completed them, peformance is terrible in the city of Arx when compared to the rest of the game. The final fight in the game is just so terrbly balanced that guides online just teach of ways to cheese the fight. Just like original sin 1 inventory management is a nightmare. The source point system is a complete mess and adds tedium of having to replenish source points everytime after a fight. Quests are not really clear with their objectives this game just really forces you to use online Wikis and guides for a lot of its quests because the game lacks eplanation of what exactly you need to do. I still love this game it is an amazing game but for now I really recommend waiting for the enhanced edition which should fix most if not all of these issues. I recommend buying it on a sale and wait for the Enhanced Edition free update which comes out in Agust.

Neverwinter Nights 2 of the generation,

Yep, I went there, it's the Neverwinter Nights 2 of this generation, long, epic, and near-flawless in every way. There's like, hardly anything bad I can say about it, because in the world of games with handholding mechanics such as "FOLLOW THE RED LASER DOT QUEST MARKER LIKE A CAT", self-regenerating health, and cancerous mechanics ruining mainstream video games like loot boxes, Denuvo, pay-to-win/pay-to-skip and everything stupid you can think of, Divinity: Original Sin II unfucks the RPG genre and reminds us why video games are great. There is no handholding, loot boxes, Denuvo, or anything to ruin it, no... DOS2 is a pure experience that remains unraped by the AAA publishers and offers so many things that Fallout 4 doesn't, hell, DOS2 is exactly what Skyrim wishes to be, and Larian is what Bethesda Game Studios wishes to be but unlike BGS, Larian aren't hacks. What does Divinity: Original Sin 2 offer that big-budget games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 don't anymore? -A handholding-free experience. -True roleplaying. -Truly amazing voice actors with the greatest emotions that put Skyrim's seven celebrity voice actors to shame. -A rewarding experience that will leave you wanting more, and making you want to do a second runthrough and then some. -Best of all, a nearly perfect experience that may actually contend for Game of the Decade. -Fun co-op that will either get you screeching at your friends for turning the whole damn town against you and them, or praising them for doing something amazing like teleporting the troll to a pool of lava. -GM mode that brings the tabletop to four computers so you all don't have to travel to one house to draw shit on a table. Now, this game isn't without its flaws as there's no thing as a "perfect game", here are things they could do better, and fix: -Long loading times which last 10-30 minutes -Performance issues, like on a decent PC, I get 15-48fps even on low. -GM should get more features added, like NPC dialogue. Overall, 9.7/10
