Incredible Deus Ex/"Immersive Sim'

A truly excellent game, a perfect sequel to Human Revolution that improves on every single aspect of gameplay. The levels are smaller but whereas HR offered large cities with a few open buildings, Mankind Divided offers a more compact Prague filled to the brim with places to get into and explore, with every house/store/apartment/garage telling its own little worldbuilding story through emails, items and pocket secretaries. You can spend hours exploring the city and always finding something new in it, despite its size being smaller. The gameplay is smoother than its predecessor and still filled with the possibility of choice on how to approach any scenario. The dialogue persuasion system is the best I've seen in any game (carried over from Human Revolution), and a pretty good story. Couldn't recommend this game more. Even if it was still full price it'd be more than worth it, not just for the 30 something hours of a full playthrough with side quests, but the inherent replayability of its choice-centered gameplay (the most important choices in games aren't programmed story branches, but moment to moment core gameplay decisions, which Mankind Divided has in spades)

Didn't regret playing

I'll be honest; I was skeptical from the top reviews. I am thankful I played it to the end, as the music, ambience and intense situations you find yourself in make it worth it. SPOILER ALERT: The final mission was something else. Disabling that many guards, and accomplishing BOTH objectives in the end was demanding but rewarding. I also LOVE the red light district and attention to detail in that area. The art and graphics are a true treat to behold.

Amazing i-sim Missing some PC QOL

If you are a fan of immersive sims, then this game is a no-brainer. Some fantastic DLC too (although the pre-order DLC mission is obviously a part of the main game cut out, which is a bit annoying) Technically pretty good. Solid 21:9 support and game runs pretty decently now that hardware has advanced. My only real issue with the gameplay is that it doesn't have support for switching between hold and toggle for aiming, cover and crouching. Annoyingly, there is a Xbox controller preset with toggle aim and hold to cover (the way it was in DX:HR) so it is obviously the code exists for it in the game, just isn't able for users to be able to configure. If someone can fix this please do as would make the game feel perfect to play! (the game behavior is hold to aim, toggle cover and toggle crouch) Fingers crossed on a sequel. The world needs more immersive sims!

Really fun game!

I finished this game a day ago and it was worth the purchase. There are multiple ways to play but I personally prefer the stealthy approach. Nothing like sneaking into the security room and turning the robots and turrets against your enemies.

More Human Revolution anyone?

Adam Jensen returns after Human Revolution for another adventure. The game plays much like its predecessor, streamlined plenty of places, but don't expect any revolutionary leaps in any parts of the gameplay experience. The graphics look nice, and the voice acting remains fine. The main hub of Prague is daunting to navigate at first, but quickly becomes familiar territory, with nice shifts between night and day depending on where you are narratively. I feel like the story might be less interesting this time around, or maybe that's the rosy red glasses of nostalgia for Human Revolution talking. Sure there were stakes and such, but everything just felt a bit less relevant to engage with. Still, if you liked Human Revolution and want more of it, this does it quite fine to follow up after it. It does nothing spectacularly well, but it doesn't do much which would make you want to abandon it, except maybe that lack of feeling of the stakes in the story.
