DRM-free, MTX-free, and dirt cheap.

If you're reading this, either the entire series is on sale for $11 and change, or it will be in the next week. Either way, buy it. Mankind Divided may not be the best entry in the Deus Ex franchise, but it's an integral part of it all the same. All four mainline games are well worth playing, and I heartily recommend them.

Better than its reputation

As a fan of the Deus Ex series, I thought this game was very cool. Including side missions and exploration, I spent 40 hours on my first playthrough, so overall the game is not short. It is true that the main story is not as compelling as in previous titles, but I felt it was a complete game Gameplay is excellent, mechanics have been improved over HR, though MD is overall easier. Combat is a viable option now, and quite fun, especially towards the end with many combat-specific augs and weapon upgrades available. Weapons can be modified on the fly, kind of like in Crysis. I like how they implemented the new augs with a "overclock" mechanic, where you need to balance your energy to use the powerful new augs. Tho you can do a quest to unlock all of them, which will make you kind of OP Level design and art design are top-notch. Levels feature MANY ways to complete objectives and allow for different play styles. There is only one hub, however it is very dense, with lots to do and explore. The World is crafted with insane attention to detail. Exploration is rewarded Graphics are very good, but MD needs a fairly powerful PC, especially GPU. With a 2070S I got 80-150 FPS @ 1080p, depending on the area, with textures very high, shadows high and 2xMSAA, contact hardening shadows OFF As for the negatives: The game sometimes crashes, especially when taking the metro, so save before that (I was able to play multiple hours without crashes tho, so it's not especially bad, just stay out of the TF-29 shooting range, that will CTD for sure). Also, the beginning of the game has too many cut-scenes, takes a while till you are actually allowed to play the game. Another thing that bugged me, is that you can't seem to sneak over tiny platforms/steps, like in front of vents. You bump into them and need to jump. Overall a very cool Cyberpunk game, great gameplay, art direction, level design, graphics, side mission are very good, main story is mediocre to ok, some bugs, but not too bad

Great addition to the Deus Ex universe

This is a little demanding on the graphics (if you want to set everything to the max) so I had to wait until I got my new pc to play this (I own it on GOG's big competitor). This plays very much like the previous Deus Ex titles which is a very distinct gameplay from other games. Basically the games consists of hacking devices (a minigame with lots of possibilities where you have to move through a network of nodes). it is heavy on exploration i.e. find a vent and move through it or see that PDA entry lying around) or trying to get in that building by detecting a vent, hacking or by some other means. You can of couse brute-force your way through certain situations or sneak up on people. However don't expect an FPS Gameplay is not hard (if you play on standard difficulty (and that is how I like it since I play games for fun). The graphics are great and you can moce around freely when doing your quests. I am playing it right now and love the game.

Gem with huge technical issues

I loved Deus Ex: Human Revolution so much. Played it multiple times because it was near perfect. Great story with many twists and a real agenda. I'm sure we are going to end up discussing how augmentations will change humanity in one point in time. The successor had so much potential but I remember trying the game upon release and it was one huge buggy mess. Now some seven years later I'm still being welcomed by: 0x887A0006 DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG DX12 still not working properly, MSAA & vSync still crash the game. Are you for real Eidos? At the time I owned an GeForce GTX 780 Ti and now my rig is running a RTX 3090 Ti. The game supports native 5K resolution alright but I have to turn off half of the goodies just to make it work? The intro still works fine things start to get messy once you get to the train station in Prague. The GOG Version is still the one you want to get. No DRM and crappy micro-transaction. The score is still one of the best of any computer game franchise out there. Graphics are still fairly good after all these years. Plot is good but not as good as the one in Human Revolution.

Great game

The new Deus Ex games are some of the most immersive games i've ever played. If these things are what makes a game for you, then don't hesitate getting them both: -Great story, both main quest and side quests. -Great voice acting. -Incredibly rewarding exploration. -Great soundtrack. -Several ways to play the game, and it doesn't punish for choosing 1 or the other. -Good replay value. I could probably add more, but these are some of the key elements. I only have 2 negatives to put on and they don't stop me from handing out 5 stars: -The hacking. It is very punishing in this game. Despite upgrades it tracks you way to fast (was better in HR). -A Criminal Past DLC, this mission has some crashing issues halfway through that should have been fixed. But all in all i can't recommend these games enough. I know this is not a popular opinion, but i think they are waaaay better than the original.
