Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™ DLC - Season Pass
Description
The year is 2029, and mechanically augmented humans have now been deemed outcasts, living a life of complete and total segregation from the rest of society.
Now an experienced covert operative, Adam Jensen is forced to operate in a world that has grown to despise his kind. Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, he must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy.
Secure the Digital Deluxe Edition now to gain access to all of the following items:
Covert Agent Pack (Intruder Gear, Enforcer Gear and Classic Gear)
The Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Season Pass, which is composed of Narrative DLCs and in-game items, is loaded with content that will help to further flesh out the lore of the Deus Ex Universe. Here is what it contains:
Two new story DLC’s:
“System Rift”
“A Criminal Past”
The “Assault” and “Tactical” packs, which include various weapons
I have no trouble aquiring the extras from the storage (I played it offline just for testing since the day 1 of gog release) it says that is required internet connection to activate on square enix servers, but I have my skins, praxis and weapons. I have the steam edition and actually I'm enjoying the lag-free gog edition
If you are a fan of the Deus Ex series, this is a worthy part of it. While the story is not as interesting as in the original Deus Ex or as in Human Revolution, there are many improvements over Human Revolution in terms of the action/gameplay. There are several new augmentations that make the stealthy non-lethal approach more fun. But there are also new combat augmentations, plus the XP penalty for non-stealthy play isn't as big as in Human Revolution, if you prefer to play it that way. Finding passwords/codes is also more satisfying because, unlike Human Revolution, now you get XP when using them (though hacking in many cases still provides a bit more XP).
In terms of the locations, there is less variation than in the other Deus Ex games, however the graphics are excellent and the locations are very well done. The third location that you visit, called Golem City, is dystopian cyberpunk setting at its finest.
Regarding the Season Pass DLC pack, I can confirm that it is now DRM free (was indeed tied to GOG Galaxy when released, but the issue was fixed).
The problems that many complain about, are based on a simple option called AA. Which is supremely aggressive with any graphics card that does not exceed the characteristics of a 2080.I have an rtx 2060 and I can say that my game is in ultra (without AA), and it runs between 90 and 130 fps depending on the scene.
The audio, is majestic. from the music, which accompanies each mission, whether you are discovered, or while you are stealthy and sneak into any building. Hacks and pirates of software, pc's and doors. Super immersive. The sound of the weapons and the effects are very well recreated.
The graphic section is not left behind. It's amazing, the dynamic lights, shadows, explosions, and holographic effects. The detail in each section (offices, medical complexes, hangars, streets) How much will designers work to achieve this level? I have been playing for about 25 hours and I am entertaining with each place, doing each side mission. Because this is where this game shines at its best.
Decisions in conversations are vital, to get or lose information from the NPCS. Are you aggressive? Ok go for weapons, health, and attack powers like the iCarus, or the typhoon. Do you like stealth? Well, then improve your lung capacity, energy level, peripheral vision, and char analysis
Want both? No problem.
Every corner is full of possibilities, to find new weapons, attachments, for your character, as well as for your weapons. Telescopic sights, lasers, silencers
Advanced hacking options, building access cards, banks, safes. Read, or listen to private conversations, that will reveal new paths ...
You can attack or tackle your enemies in different ways. Disabling them physically, electronically (robots, turrets, and other augs). Or with explosive weapons, mines, smoke, EMP.
For me, it's the best I've played lately. I know the game is not new, but with everything it has, it far exceeds any title that has come out in the last 2 years that claims to be RPG and Cyberpunk.
No need to be alarmed, Deus Ex Mankind Divided is DEFINITLY DMR FREE on GoG.
I tested it yesterday without Internet (physical disconnect) and Galaxy 2.0 shut down.
Started the game normal via executable and it started flawlessly same with the DLCs
they started flawless in game once you did select them.
Yes i kept the Taskmanager open to check if galaxy starts once your start the game that way.
No Galaxy 2.0 stays put, when you start the game "external".
However Galaxy 2.0 start is bugged for me, if i start the game from Galaxy the game
crashes to Desktop, i suppose that is a bug nothing more. Will write a ticket for this issue.
I hope that ll help clarify things about GoGs "FCKDRM" policy, it is definitly not gone.
So long
Overall I'll give the game a decent 6/10 but the game fails on one main thing - the story feels like it ends far too soon and that you're only really halfway through the game. When the credits rolled I was sat there thinking "Thats it?!"
That said theres a lot to enjoy here. While there arent as many areas to visit as there probably should have been, Prague is an interesting, detailed and well crafted hub for the game that you can lose yourself in. No doubt even on multiple playthroughs you would be able to find something previously unseen.
Unfortunately as others have mentioned the game can be crash happy and buggy - personally I found some of the "point of interest" missions to be pretty broken and some missions and datafiles that should shed some light on whats going on never seem to tie in to anything.
Still, I enjoyed my time with it - especially having bought it on a deep discount.
