Ignore Review Bombers.

First about the game: It's good. A well crafted continuation of Human Revolution that is basically "More of the same but with more polish". So now we don't have characters that look like stiff puppets with the bare minimum of facial animation. The level are well crafted and exploration always rewards you with some more resources, weapons or ammo. The gunplay has allot more punch to it and the stealth mechanics introduce allot more strategy, other than "hide in a vent when you get spotted". As for the bad? The game is not finished. As in it ends on a cliffhanger Halo 2 style and if anyone is aware of how SquareEnix was "disappointed" by the games sales, we wont be getting a new entry in a long time if ever. Also, while the story is decent it has allot of WTF moments where you question the logic behind the characters actions. It's not even a "they where in allot of stress" situation, just plain stupid. So in short, nothing new but good looking with fun and competent gameplay, some stupid plot twists and a flat ending. Now for the review drama: People where spamming bad reviews claiming the game has DRM... which it doesn't. The first screams came from the user license that was copy pasted from the Steam version and still had the mentioning of DLC security and micro transactions. Second case was do to a bug that forced a Galaxy connection when trying to start one of the DLC story missions, which was addressed by GOG staff and is being fixed. This didn't mater though as a bunch of screeching monkeys started review bombing the game, without doing any research or even asking about it on the forums.

Missing the Linux version

Mankind Divided has a Linux port on Steam, but it is missing on GOG. Please add as this is an incomplete release.

Wow, finally I can actually OWN this.

First off, this GOG version is THE way to go. The steam version had some really stupid bs where you can literally only USE the items you get from the season pass ONCE. You'll lose the DLC items if you're playing on a separate install or PC from the one you first did. Thankfully with this one it doesn't matter! How it should have been from day one. As for the game itself, if you liked Human Revolution, you will like this one. They are both very different from the first 2 DX games, but they're still great nonetheless. I wholeheartedly recommend them both. Beautiful graphics, great dialogue, continually some of the best music I've ever heard in a game, beautiful dystopian cyberpunk atmosphere/world, and lots of other things. You can play the game either stealthily or guns blazing, so it's a mix between stealth and fps. My only real negative with both games is that they're not as open ended like the first game. It's alot more linear feeling. This isn't a bad thing, more just a little nitpick in comparison to the freedom the first game had. Everything else, I really love about these games and really think you should grab them and give them a chance if you haven't already.

10/10 for fans, 7/10 for everyone else

This game is not perfect but it if you like that kind of games, it's a bull's eye. I love cRPG games. I love stealth games. I love dystopian science fiction. I love games with story that makes you like "I just NEED to unravel all these things". A fair score for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided would be like 7/10. Add 1 if you like Deus Ex series. I do. Add 1 if you like stealth games. I do. (although stealth is just one of many ways of playing DX:HR). Add 1 if you like a good dystopian science-fiction. I do. For me personally it's 10/10, despite some flaws. Biggest of them is that the game story-wise feels like a demo. Sure, the story is good, but there are HUNDREDS of small things and leftovers showing that what we see is probably about 50-60% of what this game was initially designed. There are so many characters, items, places, dialogues, plots, even quests - that feel like "oh my God this is sooo great, where do I move this plot forward? wait what, no, please, no, don't tell me there is nothing more here about that plot..." :( Anyway, when I played this game it was a great experience. It's Deus Ex: Human Revolution improved in nearly all possible ways, except the lenghth and richness of the story. Oh - and let's keep in mind that the game was sabotaged by the publisher, Square Enix. They hurried it's release (forcing cuts in the game's content and story), forced micro-transactions in a single-player game (which made an extremely bad PR on launch) and forced use of Denuvo (which was the sole reason I didn't buy the game before - only now on GoG DRM free release). On top of that these noobs at Square Enix blame everyone but not themselves for "disappointing income" from this game and instead of taking lesson and releasing a sequel, they froze the whole Deus Ex series... Seriously, that's a clear sabotage for me.
