Dagon: by H. P. Lovecraft

This is a great introduction to Lovecraft's writing. It's a super atmospheric game with brilliant narration provided by the voice actor "WarmVoice" (Last Epoch, Dinner With An Owl). When you first load the game, you need to slightly lower the background sounds, so you can properly hear the voice, but once you've done that, everything else works perfectly. The visuals are very rich and really add to the atmosphere. It doesn't take long to experience the whole game, so it's great for when you have an hour to spare. The best part ... It's FREE!

Atmosphere is great. The graphics, music, and voice acting blend very well to create an enviroment that brings the story to life. Controls are minimal but work well. This is an interactive story, so there is no need for a lot of customization or fine tuning, but they still give it to you. This keeps the controls from distracting you from the experience. Trivia is a good touch. There is a lot of H.P.L. trivia scatered about the game for you to find. This feeds the "interactive" ich for those who might get bored of just looking around and clicking a button. Some of them are easy to find, others diabolicly hidden. All of them give good information on the story and/or the author that help you feel closer to both when you are finished. And it's free. So I don't think you can go wrong with this one. Plus, the DLC gives two new experiences (one DLC is just extras. Good, but nothing playable) and a wider view of H.P.L. in general. 10/10

The experience is very akin to that of a visual novel, which the game is, with an addition of high end graphics, the visual representation of the original short story from HP Lovecraft is good, but all in all there is nothing special about this game, it's a good 30 minute experience that can serve as a reference for horror writing. So just try it, it's better than wasting time on social media or something else

Wished I could explore the region a little bit but this is stil awesome. :)
