A short Lovecraft visual novel
First of all this is not a game. It's an audio book of Lovecraft's short story "Dagon" with some interactive scenes to visualize the story. In most scenes you can look around at 180° and click on an object to continue the telling or find hidden clues that give you background information about H.P. Lovecraft. The "playtime" is about 30 minutes. The english audio is great and the dark ambient soundtrack fits great for the atmosphere. The weakness of this project is the main problem most media about Cthulhu tales have. It's about unspeakable horror which presence and visability alone are the overwelming that it drives men crazy or into siucide. It's nearly impossible to print this in a picrue or visualize it right in a video game. In general the design is great when it comes to earthly places like a hotel room or a hospital. Dagon's island lacks a bit in details and when you have a glimpse at a Great Old One it's... underwelming. So it's a great small journey into Lovecraftian tales which shows deep love and faszination for the author but lacks in depth and level design. A nice cosmic horror snack. Not more not less.
