Dagon: by H. P. Lovecraft

I found it overall all a good rendition with very good voice/reading of Lovecraft's tale. The visuals were quite lurid and striking at times. Other times they were rather mundane stopping points as the narration of the story continued. I enjoyed this adaptation of Dagon.

Introduction The game is a adaptation of Dagon short story from H.P lovecraft almost step-by-step, if you are a H.P Lovecraft fan and like a frame-by-frame adaptation you will problably like it. Gameplay The gameplay is ok to me, but can be strange to some people, you don´t move the camera freely 360º, you also don´t walk through the 3D scenarios freely, you can only appreciate it using the mouse and investigate the scene by clicking on certain items, for me this is perfectly fine and works very well, but maybe not for everyone. Story Is a perfect adaptation of Dagon lovrecraft, it's frame-by-frame true to the original history as any lovecraft fan remember. Coclusion A nice adaptation for any gamer interesting in terror that are not fixed on gameplay itself, I also think that this game will serve very well any non-gamer reader that wants a more visual experience into lovecraft short story.

As someone that has never read Lovecraft but does know of his works, I was pleasantly surprised. I reached this game while going through my ever-growing backlog, and was planning to just try the story and probably drop it. However, the story did grip me from start to beginning. The imagery helped sell "Dagon" as a story, even if the graphics were quaint. It is quite an efficiente way to showcase cosmic horror and the beginnings of Lovecraft work. "Dagon" has definitely made me far more interested in reading Lovecraft than ever before.

If you've ever read Dagon by H. P. Lovecraft and compare it to the game, you'll see it's really faithful adaptation scene by scene. I really liked that. As a game however its just a very short (you can finish it in 20 minutes) walking sim. It's free so everyone can find out themselves if they'' like the game.
