Look, the whole world knows how rough this was at launch. However, I have to commend the CDPR team for sticking with it and polishing it up - they even threw some free content in over time. Whatever their past sins, I highly recommend giving it an open-minded go of it in its current state. You may be surprised!
There are still some bugs once in a while but other than that, one of the best games out there hands down. Great graphics, amazing story and characters.
For all the haters, just buy games a few years after release and you'll enjoy them (more).
played it for the second time completely (200hours+) and i keep finding new dialogues and new easter eggs
the creators took care of rich story and created characters that you will fall in love with (judy, johnny, kerry)
thanks for the experience and i´m loking forward to the dlc:)
The title says it all. Purchased on sale and waited to play until CD Project Red had ample time to fix the bugs that were rampant on release.
Cheers to the developer for continuing to improve a product that was unfinished on release instead of abandoning it.
Highly recommended to those who enjoy FPS open-world RPGs. Enjoyable story with plenty of easter-eggs. Leveling systems indicate that there is room for replayability with a completely different playstyle. Immersive and beautiful open world (beware, there are a few areas that induce framedrops that may persist and require a restart to resolve).
Fantastic and active modding community on Nexus mods; a quick Google search for "best Cyberpunk 2077 mods reddit" will return several lists of good quality-of-life and optimization mods (https://github.com/Democles85/Cyberpunk-2077-Mods; https://www.reddit.com/r/LowSodiumCyberpunk/comments/xnuj6l/comment/ipx1gy1); numerous gameplay modifying and cosmetic mods are also availalble. I highly recommend using "Cyberrunner: a Bladerunner like Reshade" (for use with Reshade 4.9.1) for a darker, grittier appearance.
Wanna start by saying that i didn't play the game on release and just got it because everyone was praising the new gameplay and my friend was suggesting it for the story.
After finishing the game i can confidently say that both statement are correct, the gunplay is really solid and while not perfect its fun to try different weapon; The skills are pretty cool and most of them intertwine with each other and the different stats give bonuses to the cyberware.
Apart from some characters which i didn't really like most of them where pretty fun to interact with and their story where also engaging; the main story is also pretty fun and i also really liked the evolution of the relationship between Johnny and V.
There are still some bugs in the game so it's not perfect and the driving at least of some cars is pretty bad, but not horrible.
While i can't judge Phantom Liberty, since i don't have it, i can reccomend the Main Game at the very least for the story, since the gameplay may not be for everyone.
