Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
Originally bought after it came out, decided to wait a while for all the bugs to get ironed out.
When I started it up today and decided to do a new character because i forgot everything from my orginal 25 hour playthrough, I immeditaly encountred a bug during character creation, where my chraracter was too dark to see, like they had a shadow over them.
How did they drop the ball this hard?
I'm a fan of cyberpunk theme, love movies like Blade Runners, Ready Player One, Alita and all.
I think this game captures the essence of the genre with its huge maps.
There were indeed oddities when it was released (I played v 1.2 or so) but since the last update, everything is 99% smooth. There were occational bugs with clipping but not so much that it takes you away from immersion. They managed to optimize the game quite well too. It runs smoothly on 1080 with my older GTX1060.
Would have loved if there was a 3rd person perspective, but hey the current mode works too, just that I can't see my character's gear all the time.
Just walking and driving around night city is enjoyable by itself, so many little details to notice.
Also, I think this is the only game where I actually listen to the OSTs outside the game. So many awesome songs in this game.
I think currently there is no other game like this in the market at the moment. So if you are a fan of cyberpunk genre, really this is the best game to get at the moment. The last game similar to this that I can think of was Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and of couse the graphics quality is nowhere near cyberpunk 2077.
I understand that low ratings come from times when the game was ridden with bugs. I came back to it after long time(and with new rig), and my god, was it worth it. As of patch 1.5 i had no issues whatsoever, and it's one of the few games i've ever 100%'ed. Beautiful, detailed metropolis, memorable cast of characters, action packed plot, engaging main story, distinct, fun side quests(not counting ncpd activities). After credits rolled i feel empty now. Great job CDPR. Just next time don't hype so much, and take your time :)
The Story is quite okay.
The gameplay is kinda fun.
The Graphics are decent.
But god dammit, i want to keep THIS specific car that i took from an NPC.
I would happily trade my whole garage for this one car.
This is a great game, but itstill has minor bugs.
Way much better than on release.
The best radio!
Cool sidestories
Main story might be a little short for some, but it really complements the main story.
It might have a lot of hidden stuff, which change dramatically the game, which gives us a good replay value.
