On PC with a monster rig, this game plays and looks amazing. After the patches I've seen a notable decrease in glitches and bugs. That is not to say this game runs smooth always. Saving your game like a crazy person will ensure you dont lose too much gameplay. The Cyberpunk 2077 main story is wonderful yet seems a bit rushed at times. I've seen 3 of the known 5 endings and each one has satisified the roll play aspect of how I played "V" on a particular run. The side missions and Gigs are very fleshed out and offer an imersion to the game I've never seen before. This game rivals (and probably exceeds) Skyrm in content. The bad news is that many systems within the game such as; attribute/perk points, Item management, driving and the police are broken. The lack of customization, post character creation is strange as well. No transmog, or haircuts make your "V" look (for the most part) like a child dressed them. Crafting and legendary clothes/recipes will give you a better looking character but it's limited. Even with the absurd, broken builds this game allows (which will make any challenge seem like it's on baby mode); I'm reminded of Skyrm and how fun it is to exploit bugs and systems in an effort to stay ahead of developer's patches all the while "one shotting" anything in the game. Those on Console, (especially last generation) should avoid this game.
I am one of those that bought it before it was released. It was my first time to do this and since the game runs decent and I am one of the few that have not encountered some of the game stopping bugs I am currently happy with my purchase. Still, I may not do a preorder again overall just because I don't normally have 60 bucks USD to splurge on a single game. I am also over 100 hours in and still doing side quests and only every so often doing one of the main ones but this is the way I play. :-)
I take my time on games like these.
0/10 can't romance best boy from 'saka.
Seriously fun and beautiful game, despite the jank (as of 14th of January 2021). Haven't had any game-breaking bugs as of writing this despite having sunk well over 30 hours into the game, the worst have been a couple of visual glitches and things failing to load in properly.
The enemy AI is kind of stupid and if you as much as touch a pedestrian, the NCPD can get real mad at you.
I don't regret spending 60 euros and buying the game before release, but I do sympathize with those that play on last gen consoles.
Hopefully CDPR will hammer out the worst of the jank and hopefully we'll be able to change button layout sometime in the near future.
Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of potential, and it already has stellar writing and interesting characters.
Does it have bugs? Yes. A lot of them? Yes. Are there quest breaking issues? Yes. Did it need another 8 to 12 months of development time? Yes. Is it fun? O hell yes. Most of what you read about Cyberpunk is true as best I can judge after 150 hours and 2 full playthroughs. But I've still had a great time playing around with what may be one of the best open world sandboxes around. The leadership of CDPR certainly screwed up the accelerated release but I have nothing but love for the devs themselves. I paid full price for the game and don't regret my choice. More importantly I think CDPR will make it right.
