Alone in the Dark: The Trilogy 1+2+3

I like to thank GOG for making this available for us. I do own the series on CD, but do not like jumping though hoops to get it to work. I remember loading this game up and playing for the first time, in the first scene seeing the wolf coming at the window had sent chills up and down my back and the music did not make it any better. I never really played beyond the first scene being I collected a lot of games and most of them I never got to play. The little time I played has convinced me that this game is great. Again I thank you GOG!

old as fxxk but still gives enough uncanny feeling when i play it. super recommendable and you should buy it (when it goes $2.49)

Before Resident Evil came, there was Alone in the Dark. When the first game came, it left a huge impression on everyone that played it. Players were scared witless by the monsters that lurked the dark and foreboding corridors of Dercerto. Unlike any other survival horror game, not all monsters could be killed by normal means, you had to read the books and manuscripts you find around Decerto to get clues as to what that monster's weak spot was. This game series is a classic that any survival horror player should play atleast once.

...but would have been blown away back then. The graphics then were amazing, and gameplay was the same. These days, its a fun the same way driving a 50's era car would be fun. Great at first and brings back memories, but once that's over.... Anyway - great game for the money. Was worth the few bucks I paid for it.

I remember getting up early before school to play AiTD on my old AST Advantage pc, with it's 33mhz processor, 4 megs of RAM, and Windows 3.1 I used to read the books in game looking for clues, trying to read between the lines, when it turned out most puzzles were rather elementary, lol. Even still, this game goes down as one of my first PC games and probably what hooked me on games for life! Thanks GOG for making it painless to run the program as well. Cheers
