Alone in the Dark: The Trilogy 1+2+3

I first played this on the 3DO -- a great experience. Have bought it several times since, so guess one more time in the usually great GOG configuration makes sense. Never played the sequels, so a nice to have extras.

What a classic this game is, it started the whole survival horror genre, and to get part 2 and 3 is just the icing on the cake, superb!

I still remember when I finished this game. I proudly went to school the next day and announced to all my friends that I had "beat Alone in the Dark last night." Lot of laughs have been had at my expense ever since.

This game is simply amazing.From the intro to the end,it stills puts fear into your mind and under your skin.A must play title.

Coming from a non-nostalgic perspective these games are feel very outdated and quite frustrating. The story in the first game was actually quite interesting and I enjoyed uncovering the mysteries that lie within the mansion, but the janky and awkward controls and frustrating puzzles really makes the game show it's age, aside from the obviously dated graphics. I wouldn't say it's worth your time unless you feel the need to experience a bit of gaming history. There are newer games that have done this much better.
