It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

HypersomniacLive: Question is, based on what posts/page setup is this happening? And then what, never ever use italics again?
Wishbone's post is the culprit, proving the point that once you start an italics tag, in certain cases, due to forum sever-level parsing logic, it will remain unclosed for all HTML page eternity.

adaliabooks: I think not abusing italics is the way to go...
In GOG forums, italics abuse you.

That's odd. Tried to download the freebies and any .exe comes up as a file with no extension and a [1] at the end of the name. Not only for those games, but for any I tried. Files with other extensions, like .zip or .bin, seem normal. And to rule out something on my end, checked a couple of .exe downloads from other sites and those look normal.

Looks like an GOG Galaxy bug that have been fixed in newer version.
Try upgrade your Galaxy, or list your OS / download method here.

Won't be touching Galaxy! Meant downloading off the site.
I mentioned this in another thread (IIRC), but there is one minor case of unexpected behavior.

Go to a locked topic (there's a locked sticky on the Neverwinter Nights subforum that you can use for this purpose), and click on the grayed out "new post" button. When you do, you will be prompted to log in, even if you are already logged in. (Expected behavior would be for the click to be ignored, or for there to be an error message.)

If you rename the files do they still work?

Seems like it.

See another report of the issue too.

How are you downloading?
I just used the GOG downloader on the classic Stronghold bonus and it downloaded fine.

Normally, through browser. Only way I ever did.
The Classic Stronghold (Windows) bonus for me is named setup_stronghold_2.0.0.9[1] (no extension).

I'll try it again through the browser and see what happens.

That's worked fine too... what browser do you use?

Edit: Worked fine in both Chrome and Firefox...
Have you got some kind of extension that might block you downloading exe files?

To me this looks like as if something is renaming the file because the original file name already exists?

If it would have had an extension, yes, but it doesn't, so it's not (just) that. And the original file name doesn't already exist.
I received an e-mail that lists all of my wishlisted items which are currently on sale. Among them is The Park. The e-mail lists this info for the game:

WINDOWS • ADVENTURE • 2015
PROMO ENDS ON NOVEMBER 3, 2017 AT 12:59 GMT
$ 12.99

Neither the e-mail nor the website shows any kind of discount for this game. Just to be clear, the e-mail says that the game is discounted but does not show a discount. Confusing.
Bug for Halloween Sale, not fixed yet.

Bug! When selecting the full Crypt of the Necrodancer bundle the price is reduced by 80% to $7.35, however, when you click "Checkout Now" button the full bundle discount is not applied and the total now shows $11.05 or 70% off.

https://www.gog.com/promo/20171026_halloween_necrodancer_bundle

Also, in a similar vein, is there a way to add the bundle to your cart but continue shopping? I'd really like to have to make only one purchase instead of multiples, but when you select the "checkout now" button it only has you pay for that specific bundle regardless of whether you have other items in your shopping cart.

Edited to add link.
