I should really stop torturing myself by going out with my friends on frequent basis. Every time we hang out, I'm always uber third wheel so I have to watch 2 of my friends act very horny couple front of me. Even when I'm driving.

Today was sucky since I served as fourth wheel, if that's possible.

I coulda have stay home and reading manga, playing games, *gasping* studying, and watch Doctor Who.

I don't cope very well whenever I'm in group because I feel like no one is going to pay any attention to me except when they need a ride.

Oy vey. X.X

Maybe I should find another restaurant to have a good meal.

It's good to bring an extra person or two into the group when you become a third wheel. You have someone extra to talk to, and when the kissy couple gets tired of talking to you or dealing with your pet conversational subjects, they can sometimes get distracted by the others in the group instead of just spooning and swooning each other like you're not even in the room.

I usually go to great lengths to stay out of those third wheel situations. They can make you look and feel like some sort of weirdo creepy hanger-on even when you're really the only person who IS minding his/her manners and not being kind of creepy.

wyorot: Well since the first of the year I have lost my wife (we have been together for 16 years and she wants a divorce), been thrown out of my house, my job let me go, and have spent most of the new year in the hospital (they tried committing me to the state hospital). So needless to say f@ck 2011 so far.
Ugh, rotten start, man. Hope it gets better.

I've personally been really lucky in that respect, although perhaps not. Not to diminish that or anything, but it seems to be pretty common for people to stop having anything to do with their single friends, perhaps this is why...

But anyways, you'd be surprised how much fun it can be going to restaurants, movies or concerts by yourself if need be. I totally thought that it would be weird the first time I did any of those, but actually, it's kind of nice sometimes to be able to do something like that without needing to talk with or negotiate it with anybody else.

I couldnt agree with you more. Its good to spend time with friends every once in a while, but ultimately i spend time with my family and by myself. Of course im 25. When i was 16-23, i was always hanging with friends. When i got older, i grew out of it and needed to be self-sufficient. Relationships and friends stop helping when you get older. You either get in a serious relationship and stay together, or get divorced like everyone else. For me i had to get realistic. And when the divorce rate is 60% on first marriages in america-kind of a rough wake up call. Its too bad too, i always thought about finding a nice girl to settle down with, but honestly i dont think its worth it. Im probably going to have find someone outside of the country if i want to consider a serious relationship.
My friend from grade school got engaged to a man who is her cousin (She's 17, he's 19, and they have no idea.), got pregnant, and is now living with him. Stupid stupid stupid.

They should move to the Deep South, I have cousins that do that sort of thing all the time. It's awesome, we're trying to build a race of mutants with six arms down here.

I believe it. I believe almost anything nowadays. You know what it is, people's values are shot completely down. All young kids nowadays do is drugs, getting wasted and getting knocked up. What i do is laugh at them while they do all 3.

My cousin got knocked up by a black guy when she was 18. She now has a little girl who is 3. The girl is the nicest little girl ever. Cute, nice, never cries. Of course, the black guy decides to be an asshole and while the baby is 1, he steals my aunts car to go to pennsylvania and do drugs. I still dont know why he did it. He propably doesnt either. Of course he's out of the picture now. Im hoping he od's, although he probably will.

Psst, what part of 4th wheel did you miss from my post? There was another person but 3 of them were into each other for whole time and I feel like I'm 'Even Man Out', lol.

No need to rub in my face about you're being lucky in that respect. :P But no worries. I'm single by the choice since my last relationship ended on ugly terms.

But I definitely agree with you that it's much fun going to those stuff by myself. I once drove 2 hours to anime con by myself and I had time of my life, even if I don't know anyone. Maybe I should plan the event for myself so I can have fun and making great memories for me.

Forget marriage, have a committed relationship if you find someone special but marriage is usually a screw job for the person with the Y chromosome.

Yeah, I don't plan on marriage because I have noticed virtually of my male buddies always get screwed in court so I'm less reluctant to do that. So I'll do the committed relationship but marriage? That's out of the question, period. I want my sanity. Damn it, Jim!

From personal experience, a substantial portion of the female populace is comprised of the sorts of pigs that a lot of women decry men for being, but with the added feature of being sanctimonious about how men are scum.

The purpose of the ring is that if you happen to be fortunate enough to find a woman that isn't a complete pig to try and lock that in for a good long while.

And yes, there's a lot of men that are pigs, it's just that they're decent enough not to pretend like they're any better than women in that regard.

I can say this, you usually are in no state to judge a woman's character by the time you decide to marry her, even if you date for a few years. Besides all that, they can change after the fact, I've seen that happen to a lot of guys.

Remember, in a divorce, the male's marriage contributions tend to continue to her (court enforced too) while all her obligations to you end. And courts aren't so fast to enforce parenting time unless you force them by hiring an attorney (again) and having them get in judge's face.

Obviously there are divorces that end unfairly in the man's favor, but they are much rarer. 70% of all divorces are initiated by women in the US. Statistically men aren't any more abusive and cheat no more than women, so that tells you that the general feeling on both sides is that divorce is much safer for women.
