Aliasalpha: Not having a good day. I woke up after maybe 5 hours of sleep feeling like I was about to throw up, scrambled to get some sort of clothing on and by the time I finished, the feeling had subsided. I went out and got the bucket anyway just in case & went back to bed. Woke up an hour later with the exact same feeling but I sat up, got the bucket and the feeling was gone again.

So I'm sitting here feeling like shit and worst of all being bored so I figure I might as well finish off my sam & max marathon by playing series 3. Oh look, on the same computer with the same drivers with the same installers that worked perfectly last year, the games are suddenly unplayable and are showing, of all things, the bloody playstation controls! Apparently triangle does everything, very versatile button your triangle.

Some possibly helpful advice. Ginger in its many forms helps with an upset stomach. Baby wipes will keep your ass from getting too chapped when you have diarrhea, and help with the burn if its that kind. Baby powder applied directly to the ass crack increases the chances of a phantom shit (When you wipe, but there is no residue whatsoever. A blessing from God in other words)

I have 3 tests this week that I'm not prepared for, I have a week off next week, but I have to do 2 papers for Bio and the lab, as well as the online homework we get, and those will pretty much kill the week. I want to ask this girl out, but I haven't seen her since I finally worked up the courage to actually talk to her.

Oh, and an entity that describes itself as Siblings, who is composed of all of my other selves from other dimensions wants to absorb me as well so it can become more powerful, haunts my dreams from time to time. Somehow he is connected to a mountain man from the 1800's named Cornelius Bree, who also happens to be a product of my unconscious mind.

My friend seems to think Siblings actually exists, and that I need to be ready to face him when the time comes.

Its all good, though, because I have an awesome karate headband no one can mess with. Accept maybe bleach.
Had a conversation with this girl for 3 hours and I'm unsure if it's good or bad. Frankly, with the circumstances around, I'm not sure if it's positive conversation since I avoid asking her the critical questions.

I'm now confusing. X.X

They never say what they mean anyway, if you're still confused it's probably a bad thing, but just go for it, you have nothing to lose. Who wants to be in the "friend zone" anyway, at least with a gal you like? Take your chances, kiss her. It'll either end or start something off, either way it's progress.

I'm guessing you're young so I'll spare you my jaded opinions, the above, however, is not one of those.

Uhg well it's Friday night and I'm pretty sure I have the flu. I can barely move... Maybe I can manage to make some tea...

Sorry if my statement was kinda ambiguous but I really have no interest in that girl at all. There's a huge rift between her and my other friends so I'm kinda caught in the middle because we belong to same circle. So I'm trying to establish the dialogue with everyone involved so I can ensure that the convention next month will go smoothly.

So no, I'm not going to take my chance and kiss the girl, lol. I would like it if we can avoid ugly drama mess so I can have fun convention next month.

If you consider mid 20s to be young, then yeah I'm young, lol.

Sorry if I confused you, orc. But I'm not pursuing the girl at the moment. I'm more interesting in Doctor Who, classic games, and manga at the moment. :P

Yes, then I misconstrued your post, sorry for that:)

Well, young might be more of a state of mind for many people rather than actual physical age. Cynically I think anyone who still has a lot of hope is young, ideally I like to think that's not true.
I'm planning on moving overseas. To do that, I need to get a passport. For which I need my naturalization certificate (I moved to the U.S. when I was two years old, became a citizen seven years later).

I've moved so many times in my life, a little clumsily I guess, that I lost it. So I applied for a copy. Had to drive to the state capitol to do it. It's going to cost $345 to finally get. Ugh.

But here's the beauty part. I became a citizen in Guam, a Trust Territory of the U.S., a long time ago (I'm middle-aged). Their records weren't computerized. I just got a phone call from Homeland Security yesterday saying they found no records I was ever recorded as a citizen. This despite the fact that I showed them a photocopy of my mother's certificate, showing the exact place date and office where she got her certificate at the same time she got me mine.

So after being a U.S. citizen for about 40 years, suddenly I'm not. Or something.

The only other thing I need is my birth certiicate. I've never had one. My mother never kept a copy. The hospital in Germany that I was born in burned down decades ago.

It often seems my life is a collection of bizarre worst-case scenarios that then find a way to link together to magnify the suckitude while raising the stakes.

Am I the only one that's really grown to despise Valentines day? It probably wouldn't be that big a deal if I wasn't 30 having never managed to get a date in a year with a Valentines day.

It's definitely not something I get, but apparently, I'm so hot that I get sexually harassed a lot, and can hear women talking about me. Which isn't hard because there frequently just out of arm's reach literally. But, somehow being talked about right in front of me isn't the sort of turn on that it might be.

And frustratingly enough, most of the women I do end up going for are not available, but inexplicably think it's fun to flirt anyways. Leading to an abysmal signal to noise ratio which leads things to be very confused.

I do know that in this part of the world, that dating is particularly tough, with the women being very aggressive, except when it might be helpful and the men tending towards being overly respectful, but this is getting pretty ridiculous.

I really don't like holidays much at all, with one exception -- Christmas IF there are young kids around you buy presents for. Seeing them get pants-pissing excited is pretty damn fun and funny.

Otherwise, forget it. I don't care to be forced into artificial rapture and good cheer. They're fine in small doses, but when they're put on a schedule I'd rather drink vinegar strained through a dirty sock. The "holiday season" is my least favorite time of year.

But it's probably necessary. Think how full of total pricks the world would be without it being reminded at least once or twice a year not to be total pricks.

Don't we already have several of those in the US? I mean Thanksgiving and MLK day ought to be about that already. Valentine's day itself was better when it was a Roman holiday geared towards hooking people up. Lupercalia seems like a really fun one.
I don't mind Valentine's Day. I just hate the assholes who all say "HAPPY SINGLES AWARENESS DAY!" like they're really clever. It's almost as bad as those fucking daily affirmations posted on Facebook. People think they're clever and unique, but they all trumpet the same quotes they read from some book, or saw in a movie. One person quoted Harvey Dent's speech in The Dark Knight, and almost everyone quoted Fight Club.
I got felt up by a woman 4 times my age today. (64 and then some)

You certainly are not, in fact if I ever get in one of those relationship things I've heard about, valentines day will be the one day where I DON'T do anything special
Well since the first of the year I have lost my wife (we have been together for 16 years and she wants a divorce), been thrown out of my house, my job let me go, and have spent most of the new year in the hospital (they tried committing me to the state hospital). So needless to say f@ck 2011 so far.

Eh, to be honest, I'm realistic enough to not expect to be able to get away with that. OTOH I'm pretty sure if it does happen that it'll skew towards not doing anything in particular for Valentine's day.
