<span class="bold">Saints Row 2</span> and <span class="bold">Saints Row: The Third</span>, two of the zaniest open-world adventures ever, are available now for Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 60% & 66% discount!




After a successful, albeit imperfect, initial debut in the gangster sandbox adventure genre, the Saints Row series reached new heights with each subsequent sequel. <span class="bold">Saints Row 2</span> was Volition's response to every bit of criticism that it was just a bit too much like GTA. That response ended up giving us a robust open-world experience, with a powerful character creation system, tons of customisability, and a unique dose quirk that said "We're all just here to have fun." Our release of Saints Row 2 has received the GOG.com treatment: the most infamous issue, which required gamers to manually slow down modern CPUs to play the game, has been greatly improved upon. Enjoy!
If the second game was a tad odd, <span class="bold">Saints Row: The Third</span> is quirk overload. From weaponized sex-toys through ridiculous vehicles and characters, the plot of Saints Row: The Third is like a Hollywood summer flick turned up to eleven. If you're in the right mood for it, there there is no place quite like it to go on a hoverbike rampage or engage in wrestlemania with innocent bystanders. The word "sandbox" has never been more appropriate.

Fantastic !
But I wonder... I remember to play the first one on Xbox 360. It was very good too. I don't know if it is a PC version of this title, but it will be great if you can release this one too on GoG !

Never played Saints Row but I'm curious to try it. A bit puzzled about the absence of the first title, maybe a different publisher?
Anyway I hope that the welcome they'll receive here will be warm enough to make the first one appear as well.

Just an FYI Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package is missing two DLCs. The DLCs missing are The Bloodsucker Pack and the Unlockable Pack, both were removed from The Full Package due to complaints from fans (both are basically overpowered and or cheats).

With that being said, awesome release! I love me some Saints Row, especially Saints Row: The Third. I own the entire series (well the ones available on PC) on Steam but I'm definitely going to get them here whenever I'm able to in the future.

The first one is a console exclusive.

Fun fact, the PC port of Saints Row 2 was done by CD Projekt Red, unfortunately it's not a very good port (it plays in fast forward mode, making driving extremely difficult) and it requires a little bit of tinkering to fix (luckily there are two mods that clear up nearly every issue).

The first one was never released for PC, so I guess it won't be showing up anywhere.

The circle is now complete; the PC port of Saints Row 2 which was developed by none other than CDPR themselves, is now on GOG. Having said that, is the game fixed now?

the first one was an xbox 360 exclusive title

it was never ported to any other platform

having said that saints row 2 is in my opinion the best of the series straddling a fine line between serious and over the top ludicrousness ( 3 and 4 go for bat shit insanity )

the pc port of saints row 2 was done by cd projekt red but the port was bit ...uh ...unrefined
dunno if they fixed it by now
but if not you can download the gentlemen of the row mod which fixes most issues and adds a load options for it self

They state that it'll work flawlessly now....

--Saints Row 2 (-60%) - The surprise cult hit that reinvigorated the open-world action-adventure genre with its unique sprinkle of quirk. Complete with the GOG.com treatment to work flawlessly on modern PCs.
For me another interesting question would be if well getting the same version or if we germans get a regional specific one? (It's a shame that i have to ask that but they blocked Commandos for us after all...and the german version of SR2 is mutilated beyond any recognition)

Indeed, that is the main question as the Steam version also works on modern systems but have they fixed the other glaring issues with the port.
