Uninhibitedly quirky.

Saints Row 2 and Saints Row: The Third, two of the zaniest open-world adventures ever, are available now for Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 60% & 66% discount!

After a successful, albeit imperfect, initial debut in the gangster sandbox adventure genre, the Saints Row series reached new heights with each subsequent sequel. Saints Row 2 was Volition's response to every bit of criticism that it was just a bit too much like GTA. That response ended up giving us a robust open-world experience, with a powerful character creation system, tons of customisability, and a unique dose quirk that said "We're all just here to have fun." Our release of Saints Row 2 has received the GOG.com treatment: the most infamous issue, which required gamers to manually slow down modern CPUs to play the game, has been greatly improved upon. Enjoy!
If the second game was a tad odd, Saints Row: The Third is quirk overload. From weaponized sex-toys through ridiculous vehicles and characters, the plot of Saints Row: The Third is like a Hollywood summer flick turned up to eleven. If you're in the right mood for it, there there is no place quite like it to go on a hoverbike rampage or engage in wrestlemania with innocent bystanders. The word "sandbox" has never been more appropriate.

Let your inhibitions go with Saints Row 2 and Saints Row: The Third, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com! he launch discounts will last until Monday, May 18 at 12:59 PM GMT.
Really didn't think much of Saints Row 3. It was over-the-top in a very.... Not childish... Teenage sense. It just left me shaking my head a lot. Just completed Saints Row 4, and whilst that is even more insane, the humour is thankfully a lot less puerile.

Saints Row 2 though remains my favourite of the series, it got the balance between wacky and serious just right (In my opinion).

Grargar: Yup, I want a confirmation before instabuying it. :)
Yeah. I also need one confirmation: if there won't be any regional differences for the games. I don't assume that but i want to be sure...

TheTingler: If it does indeed work flawlessly now I'll snap it up. Utterly unplayable on Steam and I love the series.
Same here.
Still remember listening to Night Ranger's Sister Christian on the radio while spraying people on the streets with their own...well one of those crazy Saints Row moments why you should try out this game - even if the PC port wasn't great (i never knew it was ported by CDPR :o ).

Remember the GTA IV parody trailer?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcHkfLgsqZo

It is more fun than GTA even if it's faaar away from it in quality.
It saddens me that I even have to ask this, but with the unavailable Commando games and the inexplicably-turned-censored-AU Witcher 2 in my library:

Will the games be uncensored for German customers?

Yeah wainting for an answer to this question too.

ElTerprise: For me another interesting question would be if well getting the same version or if we germans get a regional specific one? (It's a shame that i have to ask that but they blocked Commandos for us after all...and the german version of SR2 is mutilated beyond any recognition)
Yep, it is what I would really like to know as well... it's the reason I don't own them already, low violence version just won't do ;)

Yep, still hold myself back untill I know exactly. There is also one (and only one) review of SR 2 here on GoG that says that SR 2 is so buggy that it`s unplayable! Because it showed up very fast after the release I hope that this review is based on the Steam version of the game, which I don`t have coz I don`t like censorship!
Edit: Attachment fail, come on GOG!

Edit 2: Okay I've mangled the clip beyond recognition to make it smaller in size even though it was already under the size limits, but enjoy it anyway folks.

NoNewTaleToTell: Just an FYI Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package is missing two DLCs. The DLCs missing are The Bloodsucker Pack and the Unlockable Pack, both were removed from The Full Package due to complaints from fans (both are basically overpowered and or cheats).
I came to this thread just to find out how they were handling this problem. I still remember when having everything unlocked was an issue with the Full Package on Steam. This isn't a problem anymore, however, and both DLCs are again part of the Full Package on Steam, because they have since implemented the option to disable specific DLC for any game.

To my knowledge, the same could be done with Galaxy, couldn't it? Click on More and Configure, and then enable or disable DLC. As it is right now, you can't get those two DLCs at all on GOG, which is probably not the best solution.

I'm waiting for it too. Because i couldn't play the Steam version of SR2 either. I assume it's a review based on the Steam version. The interesting thing is that the PC-port from Saints Row 2 was done by CDProjekt so maybe they fixed it properly now ...

I'm quite sure the user in question does not refer to the Gog version, and just posted this review based on previous experience... So, still remains to be seen how well this one runs (although that should clearly be covered by the money-back guarantee here, shouldn't it?).

Of course. The question if it's uncensored for us is of bigger concern...
