For all the fans of classic RPGs this title will be like a journey through time.

It took creators many years to develop Grimoire: Heralds of the Winged Exemplar, but our patience has been more than rewarded. The title features a beautiful 2D hand-drawn artwork, more than 244 maps to explore, and provides the gamers with over 600 hours of play.

Buy Grimoire: Heralds of the Winged Exemplar on GOG.COM and get a 25% discount until 2nd January 2020, 2 PM UTC.
Oh, this is going to be one of those release threads.

I'm seriously surprised to see this here. Probably surprised enough to give it a chance.
At last..

Will pick up tomorrow. First game I will have bought on release
So, Cleve did it:)
He pushed Grimoire to GoG.

pkk234: What's with all the hubbub surrounding this game?
in short - developer cant accept criticism in any form and his response to some negative feedback in past featured various degrees of over-the-top reaction - from toxic answers to straight up bans, to even attempts to sue people and real life threats (about the latest ones you can see there:

Well I sure hope GOG got an apology and retraction for some of the shit the developer said about them.

So...anyone tried this on Wine? Or are Linux/Mac people not included in the "Incline"? :P

Hah, ok. Cleve's conspiracy thread about GOG is now missing from RPGCodex. I'm guessing that was a condition of the deal.
I'd rather burn money than give it to Blakemore, but each to his or her own
Picking this up as soon as I get home!

athineos: Does this game has a Random Map Generator like HOMM3?
avatar
SpecShadow: no, everything is hand made, the only random parts are encounters (beside named enemies like bosses).

docbear1975: Looks interesting. Add to backlog or no? That is the question. Answer: Probably, yes
avatar
SpecShadow: that's not the game to put into backlog (anyway - backlogs are silly in concept because there is not enough time or life to beat most of the games from some list), it's 100-250h long journey, not something to scratch from some list.
I noticed on the Game screenshots there is a "Map Editor" option. Does the game have a functional editor to make your own scenarios?

About. Goddamn. Time.

Naga_Elite: Great. Now people can get a DRM free copy. Not sure why it wasn't available here on launch.
Because Cleve is only now backing up on his word to not release in any other platform besides Steam.
This is fantastic news!
