HunchBluntley: Link, for those wanting to see the obvious joke themselves.
I'm not British, but the word "plonker" comes to mind. :)

God, I feel like an idiot for not checking the original website. Yeah, it is obviously a joke website.IMHO poling fun at the PT "Purists".

The "Memory Leak Issues resolved" is pretty funny. Memory Leaks issues can never be resovled, just managed....

Hm, I guess that was expecting too much, but I kind of hoped the Enhanced Edition would somehow include multiplayer. :-D

What childish person is constantly and consistently derepping each and every post that is saying something positive about Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition?

@Fables22: I thought this forum was supposed to make a turn for the better and abuse of the rating button would be punished? Well, do so!

I wanted to say something about the release, but all the joy in posting has been sucked out of me by opening the first page of this topic and seeing all those 'low rated' posts that shouldn't be low rated at all.

The site isn't a joke (though I'm sure there are plenty who'd disagree), just that article.

And I hadn't checked the link myself when I made the "Bert" joke; I only visited it after seeing it mentioned in another thread as THIS IS A JOKE! DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THERE. (I honestly didn't even notice at first that Impaler26 had included the link in his post.)
Just goes to show how one well-meaning but gullible person can unintentionally fool scores of others.

She apparently has to use some sort of convoluted workaround to get info on who's doing the rating, and she is the only dedicated moderator covering the whole of the forums. There is no way she could stop rep abuse from happening in real time. Best-case scenario, she gathers evidence and punishes the offenders at some point in the future.

Originals are not available separately = being forced to support Beamdog.

No.

Also, BG1 expansion and LGBTXYZLOL propaganda bullshit.

Never forget.
Maybe when it gets a 75% discount... Till then I'll play the original version.

Pax11: OK, are the post ratings broken, or are people actually down-voting people who say something as benign as "I bought it?" There are an incredible number of posts hidden from me due to low ratings, and once I unhide them, most just say they plan on buying the release.

dtgreene: One suggestion: Go to your account settings, and uncheck the boxes by "Hide posts". The reputation system on this site has been abused to the point of being broken, and it is best to minimize the impact of it on your viewing of the forum.

Now, if only there were a way to disable "low rated" topics automatically appearing gray, even when there are new posts in the topic...
Is that really what the "greyed out" threads are for? I've always wondered about that.

Carradice: Upvoting was ment for pointing out useful, informative posts, while downvoting was for uncivil ones...
Exactly, that is what votes are for. Why do so many of so few with so many accounts fail to see that? I feel like also neuro-typical (non-autistic) people fail to tell what motivates such childish characters. I for sure, being autistic, don't understand them AT ALL.

I reiterate in the present tense:

Upvoting IS meant for pointing out useful, informative posts, while downvoting IS for uncivil ones...

Darker gray means that either you've viewed the thread before and there haven't been any new posts since you last visited it (while logged in), or that the first post is currently low rated.
It's not the best system.

Impaler26: Jeez, looks like Beamdog will add some annoying crap to the "enhanced" edition:

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2017/03/27/planescape-enhanced-edition-changelog/

These are the 2 lamest changes IMO:

- Character Creation: The Nameless One is now nameable

WTF? If you've played through PS:T you know that the nameless one has no name for good reasons. You can get to know his name if your INT is high enough at the end of the game. If you can now name your character one of the most interesting things in PS:T will be ruined.

- New Romance: The Lady of Pain

Why? The mysterious Lady of Pain is one of my favorite elements in PS:T. Having the option to have a romance with her just seems out of place.

So if these 2 and some other changes are not optional then this "enhanced" edition will be just as bad as i expected from Beamdog. They just have to ruin a good game with unwanted changes as it seems. :/

Crud, i forgot to put the usual ":D" at the end of my post.

So much for my failed attempt to make a "funny" post about a "funny" article... I'm getting old. :D

I agree that SoD sucked.
But please, stop the Gamersgate crap. It has become two bunches of idiots shouting at each other. I agree that the SJW's are often very stupid, but a lot of people are defending REAL Bigtory under the guise of fighiting "political correctness". A Plague on both their houses.

How about no? I can be critical of cultural Marxism and dislike pandering for the sake of virtue signaling without worrying about being associated with 'real' bigots.

Criticism is fine, and can often be very useful.
Frothing at the mouth like some of these people are doing...less so.

So was Cygi 'frothing at the mouth'? If so I'll echo his sentiment and froth at the mouth by saying I'm sick of the propaganda bullshit myself.
