fables22: Last but not least, if you were affected by this issue, we have a solution for you. First, you are eligible to get a refund for such purchase (or refunds if you received multiple games that were more expensive than Piñata) - just reach out to our support and ask for a refund which will be done as GOG Wallet funds. To make up for the trouble, we’re also going to give you a code for one free Piñata. The code will be provided to you by our support, and will need to be redeemed till the end of the Piñata Madness sale.

Once again, sorry for all the trouble and we hope this will address most, if not all of your concerns regarding this situation.
I have contact GOG Support (Ticket #116813) 14 hours ago, but no response yet.

Since this is a time-limit promo, I want to get my refund as soon as possible.

GOG Support is quite slow.
One of my past issue get its first response AFTER 19 days. (#37813)
One of my past issue get its first response AFTER 10 days. (#105827)

About the timezone issue, one of my past issue (#114883) was processed at 20:40 (UTC).
So timezone should not be a problem here.

UPDATE:
GOG refunded 3 Piñata ($9.00) within 24 hours, and gave me one Piñata for free.

DoomSooth: A whole string of messages over a penny? I'll laugh if your free piñata turns out to be for Jack Keane. Don't gamble if you can't handle a loss.
Ugh, the internet. Why do you (and some others responding to this thread) feel the need to come in to these forums and talk down to people? Did you read the FAQs? GOG never intended for this to be 'gamble', they intended it to be a fun way to get a deal on a game you might not otherwise be buying. They wanted everyone to come away from their purchase feeling happy it, not like some of them may have gambled and lost. Obviously GOG agrees there was an unforeseen issue since they responded and are changing some things about the sale.

fables22: Since not everything can be fixed that way, we’re removing a few games from the sale.

ciemnogrodzianin: Well, thank you, Blue22111 from all who was not interested in piñatas, but wanted to make some shopping during this sale. I hope your $0.01 was worth it :|
Wow. I thought what Fables meant was that they'd be removed from the pinatas, but reading the post again it does seem some games would be removed from the sale itself!

But why? Why not just remove the games that are too cheap from the pinata prizes and leave sales as they were?

Anyone knows if any game was removed from sale?

Yes. Alien vs Predator and Day of the Tentacle from my wishlist are no longer discounted. And there are more games, I saw the list somewhere in another thread.

I see. So they removed those from sale so they can be still included in the pinatas.

That's a... weird way of handling this.

Do you like every single game that can be obtained from a piñata? No? I'm sure you or someone you know has received a game from a piñata that they weren't happy about. *waits for "NUH UH! ME N MUH FRENZ AWL LUB DEEZ!"* Sounds like a gamble to me. Besides, it likely costs money on top of the refund to issue one, if it isn't to store credit. Might as well get your three dollars back since you lost a penny, right?

I must say, I bought 3 Piñatas...
I won two not very woth games, but also Pillars of Eternity Champion Edition.

I must control mysel not to buy more, because it is really gamble.
You can have luck, like me, but it can also go bad.

It is actually more worth to wait for offers.

The bad thing for me of the Piñata was that you do not know which games you might win.

I can understand the frustration, but it's just one cent. No matter how you spin this, it's not that big of a deal, considering you're paying for a chance to maybe get something that on a regular day costs 45 bucks. And this comes from a college student in the US. If you think one cent is a big deal to get up in arms about and call the company shady, oh boy. I have bad news for you. There's much worse out there.
I'm poorer than dirt due to exaggerated tuition costs and books, and I don't think this whole debacle was that big of a deal. You're getting salty for very very little. But then again. Different strokes for different folks.

Courtesy of <span class="bold">eiii</span>, here's an initial list of titles: Thanks to <span class="bold">Ixamyakxim</span>, we also know they removed Anno 1404 from the sale yesterday.

GOG may have removed even more games since they can't be bothered to inform us about the affected titles.

Business as usual then, eh?

Crackpot.756: It can take some time - especially now when they're probably getting quite a few support requests for various reasons due to the sale - but from my own experience, they will always get back to you, sometimes even at ungodly hours like 3am.

DoomSooth: Nine hours ago was probably after office hours for them. You know what time it is in Poland, right?

Crackpot.756: To be fair, not everyone keeps tabs on time zones.
This always got me about GOG, they advertise and fly in workers that have roles that would allow them to do their job remotely and yet they don't as a business want to use that ability to make their business more customer responsive.
Such as for the 'community manager' role they had going not long ago.
Yeah you don't want them bogged down by a huge refund request influx all alone, but I'm sure GOG's employing people with a proper IT background and across the company can get some decent scripts going to handle such basic work on a semi autonomous level.
The payoff being Developers looking to get their games on GOG being able to submit builds awaiting tentative approval at least getting a response in line with GOG's direct competitor Steam; and less outrage spilling over leading to huge costly knee jerk reactions to appease their customer as the previously explained measures are.
Good customer service and real efficiency gains are in a companies best interests if they want to maximize profit.

I'm afraid so. :/
