SirHandsome: I think the point is that someone would buy the game that is on sale if they wanted it. They made out like the games being offered were not the cheap ones on sale, which GOG must know if someone wanted that specific crap game for 3 dollars they would have bought it instead of a pinata. It just doesnt make logical sense nor does it specifically state anywhere in the FAQ that any of the games in the pinata are games that are on currently on sale for 2.99.
I would like my 3 dollars back, and I think this was whole thing was bit underhanded.
I agree that a person may overlook the FAQ ( which I had to read 3 times to actually really aknowledge that they are mentioning base price ) and see that its possible to get games, that may actually have a bigger discount price than their Pinata price. They may underline ''base price'' to make it more noticeable for others. I would like my 3 dollars back, and I think this was whole thing was bit underhanded.
Now I am not sure what might be the price difference between Pinata games and games currently on discount (and probably none here can say for sure, and I don't mean 1-2 cent difference etc ). So unless someone bought a Pinata ( and posted here what game they got ) we can't really say if those Pinatas are really worth buying.
In any ways mistery games might be fun. I personally don't have good experience with buying mistery games or bundles ( not talking about GoG ), so I decided to restrain myself from doing so but see what will others get.
I personally like when we get free game on sale ( or being able to pick from a pool of games ) after we achieve certain points from buying games.
I also like to buy really cheap games ( I guess there isn't anyone that doesn't ). And some times when there are bunch of old copies from a game, that is not as popular among players/buyers - it is good to see a mass sell out, just to get rid of those copies ( that might not sell even for a regular discount prices, but will provide some money to the developer, rather than keeping copies, that may never completely sell).
