Honestly? I haven't a clue. First day is really tough, you have no info to go on and are basically waiting and hoping for someone to make a slip.

But I'm not sure there is any way of making people slip up...

I don't think it's fear mongering, Lift said the days would vary and we would know when one was about to end as we would feel a rumble. He said it could come at any time, so no advance warning.

Don't talk about that. An extremely wise person once told me that only scum are interested in the way game works. Just sit and wait for something to happen. We need to be reactive, not pro-active. Yeah. That should do it!

Finger of Suspicion. More or less that you are suspicious of a person, yet don't want to vote for them yet. Some people claim it's a scum tell, since it allows you to say you were suspicious of someone yet explain why you didn't vote for them. Others claim that it helps voice your suspicions even though you only have one vote, so there is a record of you being suspicious of someone.
Make of FoS what you want though.

JMich summed it up quite well. I didn't want put a second RVS vote on her (or anyone else), so I used a FoS as a stand-in.

It was because she referenced a show, 'The Animaniacs', with her link to 'Pinky & The Brain", when, in my opinion, linking 'GoodFeathers', also from "The Animaniacs, would be a better reference given the nature of the game we are playing (e.g. Mafia).

In other words, I picked her because I wanted to give her a hard time and thought my linked clip would be funny. Pretty much a standard RVS vote (except for the fact I used a FoS instead).

I think you will find it was Sage103082 who RVS'd me, unless Bookwyrm627, or someone else, is using some ability questionably early in the game. :)

FoS don't count as votes, which is why, as JMich mentioned earlier, they are often seen as scummy. Some moderators do tally them up in vote counts, however, but they are always kept separate.

No need for clarification, at least on my side. I suggest we leave that conversation for another time, though. We may end up disclosing sensitive information. We can get back to it at a later stage.

I'm just going to put those two posts together... so you mock me (and/or Twilight) for saying discussing the game mechanics might give scum knowledge of roles etc. and then tell Hyper you don't want to discuss roles and powers in case sensitive information is disclosed?

It is a good point about Night though, I had forgotten the short warning thing. But that being said I doubt Lift is going to suddenly drop a Night on us Day 1 with no wagon even hinting of forming...
