A relatively hidden message in which you claim. Not sure how much it clashes with breadcrumbing though.

Cryptoclaiming, as I understand it, is a form of claiming in some sort of code. Informing those who know the code of your role without the others noticing. Therefore it is basically cheating. I think no one would do this, because it spoils the fun. I mainly included this rule because it is one of the meta-rules valid for any Mafia game here on GOG according to the Admin thread.

Here's my reckless speculation...

Since the key to the game seems to be these toxic emissions and the fact that some of us are seemingly immune to these effects, I suppose the following:

Those most likely to create their own toxic emissions have probably been building up an immunity. As such, I would think that anyone showing a love of dairy products (such as milk or cheese) are at a far greater risk of being monolith scum. Same would go for those who enjoy beans or broccoli...

I am more concerned about this line from the OP:

There is a word in there that makes me uneasy, but another word that might mitigate it. The words are 'converted', and 'some' respectively.

As for the idle speculation on how abilities may or may not work? I am not a fan at this stage.
