I've been thinking, and here's where I am at the moment.

I've been on Ixam's case all day. I still find him incredibly suspect, mainly for his strange comments and refusal to share valuable information with us. However, I shall not vote for him today.

Since today seems to be an either-or sort of deal, I'm going to have to go ahead and say Vote: Sage103082. I just have way too many doubts in my mind to say that I believe her to be a pro-town neutral player. I think there's a real possibility that, should we reach the game's later stages, she would turn on us to win the match.

Furthermore, I can't quite fathom her abilities, as they seem quite OP. Usually JOAT characters, which she seems to be a variation on, have one-shot abilities. She has (to my memory) been correct before, but what is to stop her from saying,"Oh yeah, I watched X, and he/she visited Y last night. I say X is scum." at some point and getting a townie lynched if she decides to go side with scum.

Motive. Why do that?
Need to post. Need to post soon, this is important. People standing behind me, please go away.

...On Night 3, I believe my power was randomised, not destroyed, after the failed sending to Dedoporno, which leads me to believe a townie received it.

While I believe Ix's refusal to give any details about the previous night is moronic at best, no counter-claims to Ix's claim of having a power have come up for Day/Night 4, so I must for now conclude Ix got my power and is therefore town-aligned.

But Sage states she only saw Ix. While previous statements might be bussing a scum teammate, this causing two to be lynched seems overkill at that stage in the game. Furthermore, turning to help scum win after two consecutive scum lynches would be counteractive to surviving to the end. Therefore, for now I must conclude Sage is telling the truth.

While not quite the impossible eliminated, there is one more probable situation in my mind now: There is a ninja present, and Sage has been left alive to cause exactly this conflict. It would also help address the question of balance a bit.

JMich: Motive. Why do that?
Motive: To win. Assuming she's neutral, then starting tomorrow, if there are two scum alive, the two scum and Sage can account for 3 of the 4 needed votes to lynch someone. And if she has as many abilities as she says she has (at least 21 shots total, minimum! This seems excessive to me), it probably won't be too hard for her to identify the scum. She could, for example, claim to use bullet proof when she is instead using cop.

Lets say Sage is telling the truth, and there are two scum left.
5v2v1, if we lynch a townie today, that means tomorrow we're at 3v2v1. At that point, if even one townie makes a mistake, we're toast. And if we lynch Sage, we lose (2v2v0). She would be entirely free to work against us for the rest of the game, openly, and we can't do a blessed thing about it without losing.

Alternatively, we lynch Sage today, and we get to 4v2v0. We still have to hit scum each night, but Sage can't screw us.

Of course, this is a worst case scenario. If there is only one scum and Sage is neutral, or if Sage herself is scum (regardless of one or two left), we'd be in a better position (except if we believe Sage to be neutral when she's really scum). If Sage is scum, we should still lynch her. If Sage is neutral, then we still need to kill her before she stabs us in the back.

Considering this aspect, I don't see how I can NOT vote for Sage. Vote Sage.
I thought about it a little further, and the 5v2v1 situation is even worse than I first thought. If we hit a townie (like Ix, if you think he is town), then it goes to 3v2v1 = 6. 6/2 = 3, they don't even need a townie to make a mistake in order to win, if it only takes half to lynch. The two scum jump on someone, Sage hammers, and boom. Scum count = town count. As I understand it, that means scum wins, and if Sage is a survivor, then she wins too.

This does require an initial setup of 1 neutral, 4 scum, and 11 town.

Is this analysis of mine missing anything?

sigh

no one seems to ever listen about Sage not winning. Since I am going to hammer myself I will state why I can not win even if I am alive at the end. In order for me to win I would have to be alive at the end and only one other person alive too.

It is a sad day that with scum alive and hiding in the shadows that I am lynched. Oh well it is the game =) You would think that I would at least be given one more night. My unused power is to pick something said and I am told if it is the truth of a lie.

Good Luck

The discussion grows more heated. "Ix is a traitor, he has something to hide!" ... "No, Sage is more dangerous!" ... "But I am helping! Unlike Ix, I am actually helping town!" shouted Sage, but was drowned out by shouts: "No, you are not one of us. You can't be trusted!"
The discussion went back and forth (with large gaps of confused silence in between), no one was willing to trust Sage, but no one was willing to be the one to execute her either. Until she finally got fed up and said:
"You know what, screw this! I'm out of here!" and with these final words she drew her pistol, put it against her own head and pulled the trigger. The shot rang out into the sudden, dead silence and her body slumped lifelessly to the ground. But then the body twitched again for a moment, while supernatural energies inside her body went out of control and heated her blood. Like with the others, who died while having power, only stronger.

When it was over, her head was cut open, but due to the headshot, her brain was difficult to analyse. Was that a trace of taint? Or something entirely different? Actually, her brain looks rather human and the taint may have been the imagination or bad light. However, her PDA reveals, that she had made contacts with buyers outside the Zone and was planning to sell the Heart to the highest bidder...

But while you still discuss, whether Sage was tainted or not, the ground trembles forcefully and at the same time the next Emission strikes. You all fall down unconciously (or pretend to do so).

Final vote count:
Sage - 5 (Bookwyrm627, Ixamyakxim, Robbeasy, CSPVG, Sage)

Ix - 2 (JMich, Krypsyn)

With 8 alive it took 5 to lynch.

Sage103082 is dead - she was Karin Skoye, neutral loner with quite some power.

It is now the Time of Emission. Please cease your posting. Those of you, who have been assigned special threads may go there now. Those of you, that have night actions, please submit them at your earliest convenience.

The Emission ends and finds you all lying around in broad daylight. It is midday, the sun is shining and the warm air brings a stench of decay from the swamp down in the valley. But upon waking up, you get an unexpected surprise: no one was killed during the last Emission. You all are still alive! Does that mean that the Monolith is defeated? Or did something different happen? Who knows? But in any case:

It is now Day again. You can resume posting.

All votes are reset to 0.
With 7 alive it takes 4 to lynch.

Isn't it obvious? I was doctor the other night. Twice (both before I had my power and after) people were trying to find if there was a doctor - I almost took it as role fishing.

I actually DIDN'T protect trentonlf because I felt he was far too obvious a target. When scum took him down I thought that implied they thought we were doctorless (for all I know we were prior to that point); that both you and Krypsyn started fishing for the role gave me even more pause so I held back. Plus, I had one big reason to do so...

I passed the role rather than give it up... to Robb. If he protected someone other than himself or me, that's one more confirmed townie.

But before we go through all that I want to find out what people thought about Sage. If she wasn't lying at what point do we assume there is a third faction (Godfather) that her power couldn't see - it seems like a nice foil to a powerful set of loner abilities.

Or do we just assume for now that we're at 1 or 2 more scum and that's that, it was as simple as Sage lying?
I didn't anticipate Sage's suicide. As it stands, a fair bit of what she said was probably true, but I don't know how much. The flip confirms her alignment and looks like it confirms the sheer amount of power she had, so I see no reason to disbelieve her goal. However, I'm not sure how many lies are mixed in with her truths prior to when she said "Screw it" (if it is all true, then I'm sorry Sage! I just can't tell).

With the lack of a kill, we should be at 6v1 or 5v2. Either way, because of the lack of NK, we can afford one more town lynch. If there were actually two neutrals in game, then I don't know what our chances are, so I'm going to ignore that possibility as simply uncontrollable.

We've had two townie killed while powered up. The implication seems to be that we lost the powers, so it appears we have had three powers rotating, or Ix is trying to pull a fast one.

JMich, I don't recall you ever stating your power or the time you had it. Care to claim now?

Vigilante, Night 1. Left it to the void, would be returned to a townie in a different form. I assumed it was the tracker.

Need to think a bit more about the doctor claim, since it's either a scum plot, or a way to break the game open. Will try to post my thoughts later today.
