Grargar: I can see the discount just fine. I'm just talking about the base price which is $19.99 just for the main game. The expansion costs an additional $14.99, which total up to $34.99 which is insane. Alternatively, there is also the Platinum Edition which normally costs $34.99, but now has an 82% discount for $6.24. I have no idea about the DRM, though. Some reviews mention something about limited activations.
FWIW, Crossworlds is a standalone expansion that apparently contains the original Armored Princess campaign as well as an expanded version of it, so it seems debatable whether picking up AP itself is useful/needed if you have Crossworlds.

Then an important question arises; why are they still selling the original Armored Princess and more expensively to boot?

That's a good question; but looking around on other sites it seems there may be two versions of Crossworlds as well -- one expansion that requires AP, and one that's standalone and effectively supersedes it. So if Amazon are only selling the non-standalone version, I guess it makes sense to sell AP still. o_O

cmdr_flashheart: That's an interesting list. Would be nice if someone who has the games on steam could confirm.
I have them, but only installed Crossworlds today, not yet the others, so can't say for sure right now... but there appears to be no activation or similar needed for it at least (just tried starting a new game to see).

Strange. GamersGate and Amazon sell a version that requires the original game, but Steam sells the expansion as standalone. Pretty confusing.

Yup, this seems almost as bad as the Disciples III / Gold / Renaissance / Resurrection / Reincarnation situation, heh.

Hmm, TBS developers/publishers love being opaque, apparently.

If it starts without Steam client, then it's DRM-free. Even better test is to start the game without starting on Steam at all after installation.

It fails that test; if the game is launched when Steam isn't running, the former launches the latter. Of course, an even bigger test would be to see if it runs or not if Steam isn't installed, e.g. if the game folder is copied to another computer. I recall some games with optional Steamworks features will launch Steam if they find it installed, but will also run without complaint if it (Steam) isn't. Uninstalling it just to check would be too much of a hassle for me right now, though. ;)

This one's odd.

On Greenmangaming, The Last Door is on sale at a lower price than anywhere else:

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/pt/en/pc/games/adventure/last-door-season-one/

Thing is, it's not called the Collector's Edition. However, the description does seem to be pretty on point.

Can anyone confirm if it truly is the Collector's Edition, the same one being sold on Steam? (GOG has extra goodies, so it doesn't count :P)

Hmm, well, Greenmangaming is literally selling a Steam key in that case, so it must be (the same as) the Steam version, albeit at a different price (depending on region).

weird - even though your link appears to be the same as http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/gb/en/pc/games/adventure/last-door-season-one/ its giving a 404.

as to your question its showing at £4.99 for me, so... about a quid cheaper than GOG
