Some really great games up for grabs and whoever gets them will have a ball I'm sure!
Not in. +1 to this expensive generous giveaway. ^_^
Not in + 1

Very generous GA.
I'm in for:

A high five from Groot.

+1 for the giveaway! :)
I'm in for Divinity: Original Sin.

Kudos on such a high quality giveaway :D. I've constantly been recommended D:OS, but it hasn't come down to a level I'd be able to get it yet. My friend, knowing how much I love Morrowind even compared it to that (not atmosphere and aesthetic-wise, but more in the sense of "free-for all, forge your own open-sandbox play with and against the mechanics" system), and I've watched videos of the combat, and it seems really fun. It also makes me very happy that they're releasing a Linux version too, soon.

As for a favourite fantasy novel, there're too many to choose from, but I'll go with Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (I believe I may have mentioned this same book in another recommendation thread as well :D). It is great fun. It has its own subtle sense of comedy, along with the fantastical element, all wrapped up in an almost history-book like narrative that very often left me wondering how much was based on truth.

Obviously don't want to go into too much detail, but the basic story is set in Victorian England, where magic is mostly just a theoretical, scholarly past-time for "gentlemen", but then Mr. Norrell shows up and up-ends everything with real magic, and the story revolves around him, his achievements and mistakes, and then his pupil (later equal) Jonathan Strange, and their different approaches to magic, all the while embroiled in an alternate reality history of England involving the "Raven King" and faerie kingdoms and all.
I'm probably describing it really badly, but it is a great book. The sort that makes you wish you could wipe your memory and read it again (although I've settled for just re-reading it every 1-2 years).
whoa my friend, nice GA! I wish I could be in for one of these awesome games, but my computer would have a seizure trying to run any of them. (NOT IN)

Happy new year to you and may this one be better than the last! :)

I will still contribute to the discussion though. If I could run these games, I'd want Divinity: OS. My favorite fantasy novel is tough, cause though I love fantasy video games, I tend not to read the literature. However, of the few I have read and liked, my favorite is The Silmarillion. I love reading about how the world was created: about Iluvatar and Morgoth, the trees of light, how the elves came to be and how Morgoth corrupted some. It's so rich and full of detail. Plus, they are a compilation of stories, so you can pick the book up and put it down as you like.

You could likely run the Bullfrog games, if you're interested in them. :P

I am hoping to get Physical Hardcovers for The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, and Children of Hurin. The last I heard is Tolkien's darkest and bloodiest story yet.

I have This edition of The Silmarillion and LotR trilogy. But I've not been able to track down The Hobbit in the same edition to fill out the collection. Note that these aren't particularly valuable from a collector's perspective, but they're quite nice and I picked up the three LotR volumes for 2 bucks a piece way back in 2005.

I'm in for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Super shiny. :O

I love The Witcher for how it makes me think and see things differently. It's fun but the thought provoking aspects are always the top reason and TW3 seems to take this a leap forward. Completing the series is a very important thing for me to do. :>

That was an older (but not that long ago) pic of my rig. The only differences were that I used a sapphire 6870 back then before it died (now using a shiny MSI r9 270) and I had 4gb of ram 1600 (now 16gb ddr 1866). That big thing is the Noctua NH D14 to keep my i5 2500k cool. If that can't run The Witcher 3 and other new AAA titles then I don't know what will. Not at max graphics settings all things considered but definitely not gonna be on the lowest. ^^

Nice to see another 2500k user. :D
I'm in for Wasteland 2. I want it because I heard many good things about it and it seems like such a cool post-apocalyptic sci-fi RPG. I really wanted to buy it on the sales on this end-of-year, but I had a limited money range and Wasteland 2 ended up being left out of the plan. I'll pick this desert scene, which I like because it used to come as a Windows wallpaper!
