I'm in for Divinity: Original Sin.
I'm mainly into turn-based games, because I'm worthless with anything requiring fast reactions and precise movements. I also like games with lots of little details and quirky characters that flesh out the setting and make exploring an environment worthwhile. Party members that contribute to a story or situation because of their personality (and sometimes back-story) rather than just being stats for combat are pretty rare, so for these reasons I think Divinity: Original Sin will be a good match for me.
Picking a fantasy movie or novel isn't easy for me. These days I only read non-fiction and most fantasy movies aren't all that great.
For the purpose of this drawing, I'll mention the first Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. It's a fairly straight forward melodramatic fantasy epic. Its focus is on Thomas Covenant who was a successful author from our earth. He develops Leprosy, loses his wife, all social connections, and succumbs to depression . He gets into an accident that puts him into a coma. While still in the coma Covenant awakens in a different reality where he is told that he's some kind of savior of the oppressed people of this new land. Thinking he's dreaming, Covenant selfishly and cruelly abuses those who have faith in him. Despite his many weaknesses of character and actions, he is lead to confront the oppressor, "Lord Foul".
The focus of this morality tale is the nature of reality and the repercussions of actions taken even if "dreaming" in a coma. Heavy handed and somewhat forced narrative to be sure, but the first trilogy is still a standout for me.
