timppu: I haven't found any epicier than this:

Pick of Destiny: Rock Off

Not epic, but quite a haunting piece of movie music:

The Underneath: The Green Head
Good movie and the devil's song is epic, indeed. But the song from the two main character's is kind of meh.

Never mind, now I know what you mean by "epic".

Matewis: As soon as I can scrape together the money for a wii u, I;m going to dive headlong into the Zelda series. Not sure I can call myself a true gamer not having played any in the series :P
Zelda 1: The original Action RPG I call it. It aged quite better than most NES games.

A Link to the Past: Where All the Zelda cliches began.

Ocarina of Time: The big one. The game invokes a classic Fantasy old school D&D/Tokien feel while still being unique. It has its own unique races, (Gorons and Zoras) and Monsters. The 3DS version is the most up to date. But your not missing anything.

Majora's Mask: The absolute favorite among fans. And its also has the weirdness of Planescape Tormant, Morrowind, and Ultima 8.

Wind Waker:Hated at first by fans because of the art style, but than grew to love it going so far as to place their second fav Zelda behind Majora's Mask.

Twilight Princess: Underrated imo. Had great Setpieces and Memorable moments. Its the sequal that Ocarina of Time lovers wanted. In essences its a bigger Ocarina of Time. (With the original element of the Twilight World)

Now Skyward Sword: Most fans hated this game. They criticized the controls and what not. Personally they are just Rage Quitters. I beat this game and the controls are fine. It takes some getting used to at first. But I grew to Master it. Like I posted above the Sondtrack is great (In a series that already has iconic soundtracks) Its also the first Zelda with Challenging combat once you master the controls. Past Zelda's combat mostly felt too Easy. Link's Shield is too overpowered and Monsters barely put up a fight. IMO they should implement a Dark Souls like Stamina system.

monkeydelarge: That Toto - Big Battle song makes me want to search for a giant sand worm so I can ride one like a Fremen warrior.

Epic songs for an epic movie.

CONAN THE BARBARIAN SOUNDTRACK!
I know right? It makes me want to play Dune II/2000 again, or even Emperor:Battle for dune, which I still need to beat someday.

I am very familiar with the Conan soundtrack and its epicness :)
'An age undreamed of' as well as 'Atlantean sword' are on one of my playlists.

You and me on a sand worm could easily take on 10 legions of Sardaukar!

Epic song from the movie, Flash Gordon.

Like this? (dibs on Paul! I think it would be incredibly cool to be a mentat) We could do some serious damage!

As long as I have a Holtzmann shield and have had Gurney Halleck training since I could first walk, then I would be ready for anything :D

Wurzelkraft: Not sure if it really fits the "epic" description but it is awesome nevertheless: Intro from Captive (Amiga)
Pretty cool :)
I see your 'Captive' and raise you Jazz Jackrabbit theme

Also, someone linked this but now I can't find it: Live and let die

To whomever that was:
Omg yes!! However I see your 'Live and let die' and raise you Die another day ...
just kidding, that song sucked and is unworthy of the label 'James Bond theme'

There are my favorite James Bond epic themes:
Thunderball
On her Majesty's Secret Service <-- amazeballs!
Goldeneye
Tomorrow Never Dies <-- what madonna should've listened to

and the most epic 007 song coupled with the most epic 007 scene: Crrrashh --> (manly V12 diesel engine noises)

1. A Pirate I Was Meant To Be

2. The entire NOLF soundtrack, especially this

3. Sanchez the Outlaw

Yes, yes you do. Both Bastion and Transistor are beyond brilliant.
At this stage I want to get both purely because of their music :)
'The spine' and 'Build that wall' are both incredible, and I'd love to hear that ingame. Both games seem to contain the whole package : great gameplay; amazing art direction; incredible music. Come to think of it, I don't know why I've held out for so long on playing them :P

Elmofongo: snip ...
Thank you very much for that breakdown! I've been meaning to create a thread to ask about how I should get into the Zelda games, but that gives me a pretty good idea. The only Zelda game I played a little bit was 'A Link to the Past', but it was on an emulator and just didn't feel right (especially using a keyboard). 'Ocarina of Time' is the one I would really like to get to, but I'll try to finish the 'Zelda 1' and 'A Link to the Past' first.

I don't aggree with many of it (especcially Majora's Mask, which killed the whole timimg freedom with constant pressure only to establish the whole "Link's death" topic based on the Kübler Ross Model), but all this aside, I wonder why you left out all the handheld Zelda games, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons are better than some of the console Zeldas and even Minish Cap beats the other comic style Zeldas (Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Wind Waker) imho.

USB gamepads aren't expensive, I highly recommend the Saitek p2600 if you want one for everything.

I agree, devil's song was clearly better with much more ooooomph. Hence I actually agree with the devil that Joe and whatshisname lost the Rock Off. They just got lucky in the end.

Yeah I just started a new character in Borderlands 2 and watched the intro again and it's so damn badass!
