Some of my favorite music is composed for movies/games, and every so often there is this amazeballs epic piece. For example:

Toto - Big Battle from the 1980s film Dune (listen till the end)
Jason Hayes - Stormwind City from WoW
Paul Houseman - Day of Days. I don't think this is in a film/game, but nevertheless it ought to be.

Any other favorites? It's always exciting to learn about a new song/artist

I can kind of comprehend how nasa engineers can build a spaceship, in the sense that, if I were about 50 times more intelligent then I might be able to understand how all the pieces fit together and adhere to very particular design and material specifications probably based on hundreds of research papers studying the behaviour of materials in space and at high/low temperatures etc. But one thing that I cannot for the life of me comprehend is how someone can manage to compose a good song, much less epic songs such as these.

high rated
These 3 songs are from Bastion, and they are just beautiful:
Darren Korb, Ashley Barrett - Build That Wall
Darren Korb - Mother, I'm Here
Darren Korb, Ashley Barrett - Setting Sail, Coming Home

There's also song titled Believe from The Witcher, but I can't find the composer's name.

Skyward Sword has a grand orchestral soundtrack:

Would this first track count?

Soushuu Senshinkan

There are others but that's the most recent one my head is stuck with. No idea about the soundtrack name since I haven't bought the ost...

Kancolle fan music

Since the artist didn't put out the ost for sales, therefore there is no album name for it. The composition kind reminds me of old koei militaristic games.

Found it. Koei's old game's music.

I always liked a lot of the music from Shadow of The Colossus, but my favorite would have to be The Opened Way.

As soon as I can scrape together the money for a wii u, I;m going to dive headlong into the Zelda series. Not sure I can call myself a true gamer not having played any in the series :P

Maighstir: That's because the track is titled "The Witcher theme" and the artist is "Believe". Also, it's not on the soundtrack, but on "Music Inspired by The Witcher" (which, by the way , is included as an extra here on GOG).
Well, that explains everything. I remember that there was file named Believe.ogg in one of the Witcher's catalogues, so I presumed that's the title of the song.
Games: Conker's Bad Fur Day - The Great Mighty Poo
Movies: Eric Idle - The Penis Song (from "The Meaning of Life")

Movies: The Hunchback of Notre-Dame - Hellfire
Honestly, this song is epic.

Ugh, I have difficulty looking/listening to anything RDR related. I'm still waiting for a PC release, and I don't imagine that is ever going to happen :( which is a problem for me because RDR is one of those games that I want to experiencefor the first time on a PC with everything maxed out :P

That Borderlands song is awesome tho!
The music in Bastion was great! I really wish GOG could get it. Here is the Wishlist!
