Lights blur. The crowd whizzes past. Your helmet rattles against the roll bar and the competition switches into overdrive. Tears stream from your eyes and the race moves into extreme speed. Tears of sweat. The same stuff that's seeping off your palms and onto the steering wheel. Get a grip. You're sliding into a turn at 200 miles per hour and centrifugal force will only carry you so far.
This is velocity-driven, pedal-to-the-metal arcade racing.
Strapped into a personally chosen made-for-the-Autobahn racing machine, you'll scream to redefine fast in this winding 3D ride of pure fun.
Great, addictive, arcade-style gameplay
Driving mechanics so unrealistic they’ll make you wish you could powerslide like that in real life!
If you didn’t have a Pentium processor back in 1995, now is your chance to finally play this game!

I remember when I first played this game. Awsome graphics of the time just kept me sitting infront of my PC pressing the forward key. This game offers a fast way of hiting pure fun. Actually the gameplay is nothing worse the today's games of the same genre like Outrun C2C remakes.
Good trip down memory lane. After setting the game to run in XP mode under Win 7 64bit the game loads. I set the graphics to highest, but is still blocky, back when it was released 1024 x 768 must have been hi-rez. Plays OK on my netbook and good racing game for short blasts
Screamer it’s not a game for players who love simulation. It’s strength is based on simplicity and easy gameplay. In this case easy game means fun. It’s difficult to realize a really addictive game with few ingredients and Screamer reaches this goal. With few click every player is ready to start te race. At the same time there are technical choices about every race. Player can choose a car from a list, each of them with different tips, as grip and acceleration. So there is the chance to use the right car in the right track.
The player can choose between championship, or a single normal race. And there are also the special modes, in which he can tests his skill against time in three different ways. So the game offers a large range in which to find your way to fun, easy fun but not without depth. A rare mix of simplicity and captivating gameplay.
I requested this game back when GOG began. I didn't get my wish but I did get a very kind email saying that GOG would look into getting this game to the site.
6 months later and my wish has been granted, I really cannot thank you guys enough !
Screamer is/was Interplay/Virgin Media's take on Ridge, Daytona and other games kicking around at the time (mid 90's). I still remember all the headaches of trying to run it in hi res on my 486266DX lmao.
Like others I do own this game, but Dosbox just refused to run it and I was really bummed. GOG's 'wrapper' is fantastic. Extremely simple install, loaded right up and off it went !
Seriously I really cannot emphasise how much I apprecite you guys getting this game up on here. And at $5.99? bring it !
