Great Fun
Screamer is a great racing game, that´s it. Very Fun game, It keeps me coming back because it is also a changelle. For 1995, the grapichs were good. Now the video is very outdated, and looks a bit ugly, so you must have a nostalgic eye to appreciate it. But if you are in here in this site, you already have it. The game runs great in gog DOSbox.

Best Arcade Racer 1995!
Fast than Need for Speed and a good alternative to old console racing games such as Ridge Racer or Daytona USA. If you like arcade games, try Screamer (in Germany known as Bleifuss), it's woth the money. Beautiful graphics (without 3D acceleration), well designed and animated tracks and good music is everything you need to enjoy pure arcade racing. The game is emulated via DosBox and needs a fast CPU (>2 GHz).

It will take you back
Pretty good old-school arcade racer that's really fun to play, challenging enough, but not to the point of driving (pun not intended XD) you nuts. Quite easy to handle and pretty good-looking, it's sure to keep you well entertained for a while. Just make sure to check the support section and do the needed tweaks to the DosBox confing files in order to prevent the game's infamous crashing (again, pun not intended XD) issues. You'd expect the good folks at GOG to have done a better job at fixing them themselves, but, to be fair, this game was already very unstable back in its day. Bottom line, check it out if you love a good old arcade racer where you can hold the accelerator button and forget about the rest.

SCREEEECH!!
-well known back in the day for having it's cars screech around just about every bend -fast paced classic arcade style racing -single player (with a network option for multiplayer) -Normal and Championship race options, plus 3 special modes: Time Attack, Cone Carnage and Slalom -only keyboard controls -4/5 stars compared to other car racing games of it's time.

Makes you wanna....
I remember buying this when it originally came out, and the adventures I had ringing Virgin's helpline trying to get the game to run in hi-res mode (a £7 phone bill and still no luck!) but even in low-res, I still really enjoyed this game. I would say this, ridge racer and sega rally are the games that I ensured I could never really got into driving 'simulators' or such. I know this will always be accused or being a rige rip-off, which I won't try to deny, but for those of us at the time who couldn't afford a playstation, this was the next best thing, and I still enjoy seeing the planes taking off next to you, the ad boards above the start line and (only slightly) annoying commentator (with his ever so helpful pieces of advice and encouragement). Control and graphics wise, the powerslides can be a bit tricky to master, and the frames can be a little bit choppy, but I can forgive these points for the fact it wears its 90's arcade racing heart on its sleeve and is proud to do so. Thanks to GOG for giving this game a new lease of life!
