Interesting topic, lacking in gameplay

The games premise is very interesting and more relevant now than ever. I liked the comic book aesthetic and the characters even though they could be more developed. Gameplay is little bit bare bones but the focus of the game is clearly in the narrative. I would love to have sequel some day but for now i am happy with what i got. For the price some people may find the game to be to expensive for the time you get out of it so i would suggest if you are unsure wait for a sale. If the topic interests you and you like the art style go for it

This was supposed to be fun

I can't even finish this it's so frustrating. You'll get bugs that you don't even know are bugs. "Why can't I progress? why isn't the thing here that's supposed to be, I must be doing something wrong." I kept trying to finish one scene for 45 minutes but couldn't. Restart the game later on and the event started like it's supposed to, meaning I literally wasted 45 minutes because of the buggy state of this game. The game starts off fine, hitting head shots and dumping mags feels pretty nice. The story is good enough, and the sound design and music is excellent. Fast forward a little bit, I'm dumping a full magazine into the back of someone's head before they turn around, and they don't die. I now have to choose them in the legs to kill them? I just rage quit and going to uninstall because of a particular scene, granted, I'm not even far into this game. You're hanging off a ledge, it doesn't say what you're supposed to do, you can't see below you. I just keep trying to jump right and falling off and dying, literally wasted 30 minutes. I don't know why they had to add all this parkour platforming kind of element to it. I'm playing as some boomer detective.. I'm scaling the side of a building? Riding falling scaffolding? Really? I was hesitant to buy this game originally because it's a port, but Walkabout are good to goggers. I felt I had to post this though as somewhat of a warning. I may give this another go later on.

Great story

I love the story and although the gameplay might be a bit rough sometimes, it was nothing really serious... Really recommend to everyone who loves stories about good old dystopian digital totality and freedom fighters trying to break it...

Artistically Beautiful with Bad A.I.

PROs: The game is beautiful, artistically. The visuals can be a bit bland in some cases, but the execution is golden. Moving from panel to panel as you play the game and progress the story lends a great feel to the whole experience, and it's probably the one reason I'd say you should pick this game up. Other than that, a great majority of the CONs: The story feels like it's lacking something... The entire game centers around a high-tech problem that a group wants to get rid of by using decidedly low-tech solutions (guns and bombs) despite having access to some high-tech individuals. The gameplay includes the ability to sneak and hide, but you'll never need to use it due to the lackluster A.I. Enemies won't actively shoot until they've reached a specific distance from you, making it possible to just fire away at them before they get close enough. Lastly, there are quick time events. There was a time when the gaming industry realized that no one enjoyed QTE's, and they moved away from the mechanic, but for some reason, the devs of this game never quite got that message. Overall, the visual style alone makes me want to keep an eye out on the developer's future projects, but I can't recommend this game until elements with the gameplay are patched.

Brilliant Making

For all comics fans this is a MUST. Only shame is that it ended after two DLCs (which were too short). The game-aspect is probably not something that should account too much for the value of this artpiece, but I liked the consequent comic-like aspects of the gun doing the "PANG" when shooting and the environment doing the "CRACKLE" noise bubbles when hit (and so on), so you really feel like creating the comic book action. The story is noir and dystopian, feels a shame that there's no actual conclusion. Guess I'd pay to see more of the series.
