EVERSPACE™

Was a great game, now just a game.

This game is all about fast-paced action and exciting space-avdentures fighting mysterious aliens and other possibly humans and blowing things up and being blown up and doing it all over again. Except that isn't true any more. Now the action is broken up by a badly-written, completely out of place story that seems like it was written for another game entirely and they just crammed it in there to try to explain why you have infinite lives. This game was easily one of the best games I've played in a long time until the released it with the stupid, weak and generic story that you cannot skip at any time and every 4 minutes you are forced to sit through some bad poetry (and some decent artwork but it's still forced and doesn't fit the aesthetics of the game) before being allowed to continue your adventure. If they added an option to skip cutscenes or the story entirely I would give it 5 stars but at the moment it is barely worth 3 stars because of the forced and rubbish story that really doesn't even need to exist.

Outcast 1.1

Seriously flawed gem.

This game STILL (as of 28/11/17) has many game-breaking bugs that WILL occur because you have no idea that things you do in the game will set you up for disaster later on with no warning at all but then you'll be forced to reload a really old save and this will happen over and over again until you want to punch this game in the face. This is STILL one of those games where you have to follow a walkthrough to double check EVERYTHING you do or you will screw yourself over and over again. It's a real shame as beneath its many faults (pretty much every in-game mechanic is mind-blowingly clunky and backwards oh and THE BUGS) it's a pretty fun and interesting game that I really did enjoy playing until I had had enough of having to reload an old save so I could try to get past one bloody thing after another without the game breaking itself. Seriously, if someone is supposed to give you a quest item as a reward you shouldn't have to be forced to reload that section over and over until the person ACTUALLY gives you the VITAL, PLOT-PROGRESSING QUEST ITEM!!!!!!!!!! And that's just one of the many game-breaking bugs you will almost certainly face. I give this 5 stars out of 10, it would get more like 7 or 8 if those bugs weren't such a HUGE problem still. PS: Anyone who gives this buggy mess a 5 star review should be ashamed of themselves. People are extremely optimistic on GOG, to the point of delusional. Very few games deserve 5/5 and games this flawed definitely do not deserve anywhere near that high a score, as much as I like the game and its good points really are good but it is definitely not a 5/5 game!

Legend of Grimrock

This is what it's all about...

I've only played about 20 minutes of the game but I had to come back to say how impressed I am, it really is good! It perfectly captures the feel of classic RPG games but with a fresher feel. The artwork is some of the best I've seen, the music is good, the sound effects seem spot on too. All in all I would definitely recommend this to fans of the RPG genre.
