Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six®

Unplayable, deserves to be fixed

It's as the title says, it's unplayable, which is a bummer.

Do Better GoG

Same exact issues as the RE ports you did. A fan, a single passionate fan did it better already, for free. Either hire that guy, or do better yourselves. QoL aside, there are issues like lack of mapping features on controller (stick buttons for pause and inventory), T-Rex in DC2 lacking its roar, a KNOWN issue. For now, go get the SN version and use the Rebirth mod, it looks better, it runs better, it's free, these are my fav games of all time, and I'm not here to pay to get a sloppier worse version than Emulation or a free mod. It's also important to say, they never made the RE ports better either, they fixed some issues, but no other work on top of it for QoL stuff present in the mod. Again, you're paying for a worse version of something you can get for free, for no money. Not even achievos man, bare minimum.

Doesn't Run

Here's hoping GoG fixes this old game so it can run on modern hardware

Resident Evil

It's an ok port

Wish there were remapping options, but you can still use the ReBirth dlls, which is honestly a bit better, I get they were going for authenticity here, so it's fine, but more options are always good.

Project Zomboid

No Workshop, get it on Steam

I bought this without thinking ages ago, but NEVER waste your money on games on GoG when it has a Workshop on Steam, you're gonna miss out on so many cool content, GoG biggest flaw is the lack of a Workshop, the game's good, but if you're gonna get it, get it on Steam

The Forgotten City

I generally don't like thinky games...

But this is a great time! I tried my best not to look at the advices in the journal only resorting to it when I was really lost (happened once, I for some reason didn't see that Greek temple). It's a really well-made time loop story, and honestly, kinda made me want to check the mod out to see what's different. Sadly I got what might be the best ending so I didn't feel like doing the other ones, and, it's hard to give advice and not spoil the game by saying what to avoid doing so you can focus on the other endings.

Ruiner

An Imperfect but Beautiful Game

I love almost everything about this game, the gorgeous aesthetics, the amazing character designs, the little voice acting there is, the story, it's all very awesome and just, perfect. The issue is...the combat, which is what you'll be doing a lot, and it's like, it's fine, it works, it does the job, but it's also not very fun and polished. It lacks feedback, there's no ''oomph'' to your hits, melee or guns, maybe a hit-stop would've helped a bit, i don't know, as it is, it's very unsatisfying. Then comes the grades, now, it's Devil May Cry rules, if you don't take hits, and kill things fast, that's an S+ right, yeah, that's ok, in concept. Except the MOMENT an enemy with a gun joins the fray, you've lost any chance for that S+ unless you get lucky, cause they WILL hit you, even as you dodge, they're ACCURATE, and guess what happens if you shoot? You're very innacurate in return, on controller, guns just, refuse to lock properly, most shots are misses. You also BARELY get any feedback when you get hit, you might even die without noticing you have been chipped away by something, again, a Hit-Stop effect would've helped. And the aesthetics i love so much? Also gets in the way of the combat, visibility can be low, enemies bleed into the background and it's hard to tell at a glance where they are. It all amounts to a very unfun experience where the game asks you to be perfect to get the delicious good grades, but the game is very imperfect so it rarely feels fair or fun trying to do so. It'll probably drive perfectionists insane, like me, it's such a big flaw that it takes away a lot. There's a good game in here, maybe some more polish, more acessibility options like outlines for enemies so you can see them, this could be a GREAT game, but as it is, it's like, an OK, it's very flawed, but by god is it a beautiful game.

Outward Definitive Edition

People are gonna get mad at this lmao

I mean, it's a great game, it really is, very Morrowind-ish, if you never played it before, it's totally worth it, the end game you vs the initial you is like, night day on the progression, game don't baby sit you, just like Morrowind. But like, idk, i do feel somewhat dunked on, eh whatever, this is probably gonna get somewhat reviewed bombed by people that feel like me, a bit miffed, but also, let it go guys, c'mon, don't be so entitled, get it on a future sale or something, it'd be great if base owners got at least a discount, but it didn't happen, move along, don't be a d-bag.

Vambrace: Cold Soul

Lost Potential due To Menu Design

I went in wanted to love this, I love the art, and the whole aesthetic of it, it's neat, I didn't get far to know if the story is as neat but I assume it's competent. The major flaw to me is how the menu works, doing a simple thing like changing the order of your team is a major hassle, especially compared to Darkest Dungeon, the game is made for controllers so don't even think it's better on K+M. During combat, hovering over skills doesn't say what they do, so you're blindingly clicking without knowing full well what type of attack it is. It's the little things, the little things pile up to an unwieldy menu system, and guess what's the most important part of a turn-based RPG? Menus, it's what you're gonna keep using the ENTIRE GAME, so if it's a 30 hours game, that's at least 25 hours of menus, and if they are a hassle to get through or do simple things, then it's a failure of an RPG. I'm sure the game is good once you get used to that clunkiness, but it's too clunky for me, as much as I loved the art and style of the game, it's not enough to make me want to keep going.
