Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare

Moody, but otherwise bad

This game is bad. Looks cool, and has atmosphere, but otherwise the controls are bad, the leveldesign is bad, lacks tutorial phase, there's no minimap, gives misleading clues, the save-system is trash, and I can't play it with light in my face. Oh,and the game can't suffer Alt + Tab, so you are definitely alone. And I lack the patience to make handwritten notes.

AngerForce: Reloaded

Missing requirement: 64 bit systems only

Also, despite GoG advertising as DRM-free, since a time all of the installations go through GoG Galaxy, even if you choose the offline installer. I'm pretty much start to be displeased overall with the site.

Deponia

Darn, this good game just loves to crash

It has the feeling of Monkey Island 3, and actualy could pass the puzzles until now as they only used adventure-game logic. My problem is, despite not having much difference to the graphic and workings of Monkey Island 3, this just luves to crash, that's why I can't give full 5 stars.

Tesla vs Lovecraft: For Science!

Solves nothing, worsens the problems

Look at the description. The only thing it gives aside a minor amount of crystals, is weighting down the already problematic random. That's a big thanks, but no.

Tesla vs Lovecraft

Pay To Win

The game has good graphic, smooth animation, doesn't demoand special hardware, and is based on an interresting idea. But it is not tested to play beyond the starting difficulty, simply relies on a very crude, unchiselled Pay To Win model. The problem is, that everything is random, and you start from scratch on every single level. But the maps don't get in themselves gradualy arder, they start with full force, while you start with clvl 1, no perks, no weapon. Even more problem is, a good portion of the perks and abilities (this later means secondary attacks) are useless, the rest only marignaly useful, certain maps won't give you half the possible equipment, and the only backpack-item worth its salt is super-duper expensive (eccentric). The gameplay mechanics have problems too. In theory you getstronger by dealing more damage to the monsters, but this is actualy irrelevant, as the monsters charge with numbers, not with HP. On thelater difficulties, where the swarm of monsters are out of control, you'll also notice you'll constantly get stuck in the background, and the teleport many times will simply not work. Oh, and the objective of the maps you can only guess, as the game won't tell you.

DISTRAINT: Deluxe Edition

Depressing interactive short story

Two keys are not even used, the story is bland and cliche and depressing, the game mechanics are oversimplified, and in one point annoying. Also, likefor a third of the time I had no idea why amI doing things, and a lot of elements felt went nowhere. Lastly, what was that TREE that made speeding car noises?
