Fragile Allegiance

Not my kind of game....

I really wanted to get something out of it and invested about 60hours into it. And it is very repetitive. You try to find asteroids. Colonize them. Expand your radius find more asteroid colonize them. Colonizing is boring. You build exactly the same 30 buildings and maybe 2 or 4 different mines. Colonizing is tedious. It takes a lot of effort to click and click all those buildings. You sell minerals and buy tech, finance colonization and ship or missile production. At some point you meet one or two alien races and make a peace treaty. Later on you gain technology to build machines to move your asteroid. Now you can get further away, find asteroid build the same building and colonize. You get a lot of messages, but they repeat over and over again... At some point you are rich and have all the tech and start producing large space ships and maybe missiles. Now you could wait for a peace treaty to end and got to war. I really think that this game is boring...

HuniePop

Richtig gutes Spiel

Egypt: Old Kingdom - Master of History

Boring and Repetative

I have seen so many good reviews for the base game and wonder why? You have one map - and a slow paced game that limits you to very few decisions each turn. It is basically you explore a region in 1 to 3 rounds. Then you place a worker that either collects resources or improves the region for 1-5 turns. Decisions on what you can do, are very limited. Every 5 turns you decide which god you pray to and which bonus you get for those turns. And every 3-5 turns you can choose a technology. Which do about nothing to the game. This addon allows you to play on after 300 turrns of boringness and repativeness. I mean play Imperialsm 2 or Sid Meier's Colonialization if you like turn based ressource management games. Those are great, allow you different strategies and have high replayabilty. But do not waste your time on this mindless click end turn game even if this addon allows you to enlarge the torture.

Egypt: Old Kingdom

Boring and Repetitive

A turn based strategy game, where you have very limited options. It is like, you chose the only obvious action and then click end turn. To be fair, there may be two or three but not interconnected. And you do this 100rds of times. There is no long time planing. There is no strategy in combat. There is no decent tecnology. It is just - mind dead - click on... Not bad for the first 50 turns if you expect there will be something happening later on. But it stays just this way. Grafics are good. Sounds minimal. Fun of playing: Decreesing the longer you play. I mean how dumbed down are games these days... I really hate that I spend under 4 Euros for this crap.

ANSTOSS 3: Der Fußballmanager

absolutes Suchtspiel

First Feudal

Stuck in the tutorial

Tried it out but got stuck in the tutorial... Some bench did never finish. Bought it, because I read Dwarf Fortress only with simpler controlls here. Be aware, this is not dwarf fortress. In dwarf fortress you do not control anyone direcly. Dwarf Fortress looks very, very different. And what and how you do it, also is pretty different. It is a game of its own merrits. I did not like the art style and perspective. But that may be personal preference... I did not like, that the tutorial did not work. I did not like, moving may guy around with wasd and mouse like in a shooter, to interact with storage or workbenches... I looked for a strategy title not for something that requires dexterity and targeting and positioning bad looking sucker on the map.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Anniversary Edition

Kein LAN in der Version

Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert... Gutes RTS.

Oriental Empires

Langweilig

Field of Glory: Kingdoms

Bad UI, Colors, too small for Notebook

I have played 100rds of hours of Field of Glory Emipres. And now bought the Kingdoms game. Compared to Empires Kingdoms is really bad. i The UI does not let you easily read numbers, is crowded, they chose light colors that can not be easily distinguished. In my case moving the cursor to the edge of the map causes the game to get black for like 5 seconds and then every few seconds later. Empire had a big scale, you fight and expand and build an Empire. Every turn you move armies to conquer. Kingdom is about waiting for Authority to allow you to do things. It is by no means fun. And it is no grand scale strategy. In Empires you can start as any nation and build an Empire. Some are harder than others, but even with one region nations, you can expand and expand and catch up to the big guys. Here the emphasis is on reality. Which means the stronger nations easily steamrolls the smaller one. Reality is for simulations no for Wego Multiplayer games. And so I can not recommend Kingdoms. Maybe they fix the colors and the UI and the black screens later. But still it is the much inferiour gaming experience to Field of Glory Empires. And calling it the successor is very missleading. This is more a single player simulation. Not a good strategy game.

Original War

Not my cup of tea...
