Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord

One of the best games ever

With all the mods out there and user made maps over the years this game has endless gameplay. Its better than Close Combat. I have as much fun with this one as the new ones. Took me awhile to figure out how to play it but once I did I was hooked.

Shadow Warrior (2013)

I finally play this game! Amazing!

I havent played too many games this year but out of all the shooter this is my favorite. I know it came out last year but for me this is my favorite shooter this year. Its like playing Big Trouble in Little China the video game. The sword fighting is action packed with so much finesse. Other games try to do this but they cant make a hero so quick and easy to control. I am not a fast type of gamer when it comes to shooters. But this game makes me feel like lightning. The story line is pure B movie humor. I havent laugh so hard at a game since South Park. Probably even more than South Park. I was even making my own one liners while playing. I cant believe this game hasnt been given more recognition. It is a must buy! I was a fan of the old one and this one raises the bar.

Shadowrun Returns

Great Tactical RPG

I love this game. Some may hate it cause it is not as in depth of a storyline as Bioware RPG's but is based on a pen and paper linear style. I enjoyed the main game and I like the fact I can transfer my character to another user made game. The combat is well developed. It is close too the new Xcom which I like. The save system sucks, especially if you are playing user made mods which crashes often when trying to save. Probably just the map I was playing. Besides these minor complaints, I highly recommend this game.

Far Cry® 2: Fortune's Edition

If you like a thinking persons fps

I played this game like their is no tomorrow on the xbox 360. It got great critical praise too on its release. The problem with it is that gamers didn't understand it. It's an open world game where survival is everything. You start out with a machete and weak weapons. When doing missions and earning diamonds you can upgrade your weapons and become a killing machine. The game is huge like fall out so you can creatively kill enemy positions the way you want. It was too boring for the average gamer to understand its openness. To slow and boring since it was nonlinear. I like the fact that you have malaria and have to find bottles to save yourself. It brings tension and realism to a genre so filled with same old generic ideas. If you want to be a survivor stalking your enemies in war torn Africa give it a shot. I just wish they had deadly animals to attack you but I guess at the time they didn't have the technology to do it with the the graphics they put in the game.

Shattered Steel

horrible: by bioware fan

I try to judge games based on now and back in its day. I say this game is absolutely horrible. Boring in every way possible. Nothing like mech warrior. The game play is clunky, the graphics are bad for even its time. There is no fun value at all. I am a big bioware fan since kotor. I been playing its classics like Never winter nights. I love anything bioware but this game. I at least bought this game to get a history lesson of how bioware evolved. That is the only value this game served me.

Die By The Sword + Limb From Limb

Most underrated classic

I really don't like a whole lot of old games here. But this game is still awesome even after so many years. Its the only game like it with a realistic sword movement that has yet to be repeated. I never found it clumsy all the years I been a fan of the game. The quest is linear but awesome to play and play arena online with a friend is a very challenging and fun experience. Most of the characters are completely different. This is a must buy. Every time I show this game to people they all love it. The controls are hard to learn at first because it is something innovative but once you learn what the game is trying to do it is a blast. Too bad more games didnt follow suit to this concept. I can imagine playing a game like Oblivion or AOC with realistic sword fighting except pressing one button to make a player swing.

Fallout Classic

realy boring

Im a huge fan of Fall Out 3 so I decided to give this game a try. After playing for 30 minutes, I was bored out of my mind. I kept getting killed by rats in the beginning and the turn based fighting system is very lame even for an old game. The characters you can choose from are very lame. I could not figure out why this was a classic. Maybe there is some tutorial I could not find that shows you how to properly play this game. Who knows. Yaawn.
