There aren't many puzzles here, but the ones that are here are great examples of modern design (you won't need to write anything down, but you'll need to think a bit). The story is way worse and just an un-needed continuation of the first one. The character feels more annoying this time around. Overall, worth playing if you like the first one.
It's just super inconsistent puzzle design. And half the time you complete the puzzle and don't go "of course", but "yeah, sure." Maybe it's a translation thing, but it thinks it's funny without being funny at all. I'm still intrested in what they do next since it's long and it doesn't feel rushed at the end like most adventures.
It's a CliffNotes version of the original with their newer version of Sherlock replacing their old one. It's just not much as a game. You kind of just walk along with the plot. It certainly sanded down the rough edges of the original, but didn't leave enough left or add new. The last "puzzle" was just tedious.
It's not the high point of Crimes and Punishments, but it's a really interesting and fun reboot. I don't exactly care for the overarching story, but the moment to moment gameplay is engaging. I thought the open world worked well after an hour or so. It lets you figure out where to go on the map and you can disguise yourself to get info from different kinds of people. Older games in the series had those ideas lightly, but they start working here.
