If you don't mind slow paced walking sims and you also like hard SF, philosophical themes, and atompunk (retrofuture) aesthetics then you will most probably love this game. To be honest, it kinda reminded me of Firewatch (which is an awesome game too ). Great graphics, moody music and a fascinating storyline based on "The Invincible" book by famous Polish writer Stanisław Lem. Note: This not an adaptation of the book's plot - it's a separate story that takes time in the same timeline and location (planet Regis III). I'd recommend playing the game first and reading the book (or comic book) later. It's a great tribute to Stanislaw Lem. The developers nailed it, they delivered an awesome game. I fell in love with the game when I played the demo a few months ago. It was worth the wait. Sci-fi and Lem lovers, go get this game. You're in for a treat !
I remember back in the day when it was released only on PS3 and I really wanted to play it(haven't got a PS3). I got to play it on Steam years later. The waiting was SO WORTH IT. Quantic Dream is a studio who always delivers awesome games. The story is one of a kind, dark and keeps you on the edge of your seat all the time. The characters are lovely. You will love them all. The music is fantastic, the main theme is just breathtaking. The gameplay is cool but I recommend playing it with a controller. It's better that way.
I can't believe this game landed on Gog. This game is fantastic, one of a kind. Quantic Dream are a fantastic studio. The story is really cool. I don't want to spoil it, it's better to just experience it yourself. Having real actors makes the game even better. Ellen/Elliot Page and Willem Dafoe did a fantastic job. Their performances are incredible. Game feels like a movie and the dialogues are awesome. The game has different endings (a lot of them, can't remember how many) but it is so worth it to replay the game to see all the outcomes.
I have set my eyes on this game for quite a while but I wasn't to sure whether to buy it or not. I read that it all started like a Skyrim skin or something like that. This gave me mixed feelings because I am not into Skyrim kind of games but the trailers looked good and made me curious. I was AMAZED. It is one of the best games I have ever played in my life. I call it...a masterpiece. It's incredible what 3 people have done. The story is amazing and it's developement along the road (whether the choices you make) it's so on point. The team nailed it. The plot twists are... mindblowing. The music is breathtaking. It makes the experience worthwhile and you get lost like you've traveled back in time. I liked all the characters. The voice-acting is splendid. The gameplay is simple and very well done. The game is very well optimized. It ran smoothly for me. Oh and I am not the one who considers the graphics are the most important thing in a game but this games looks BEAUTIFUL. This game is a masterpiece. I started with zero expectations and I was blown away. Thanks to the boys from Modern Storyteller team, I went back to the past and it was quite a ride. I want to see more projects from you. Dear gamers/history lovers (as myself), buy this game, play it. It will be worth it.
As the title says, the remake of the classic SH game The Awakened is fantastic and the expanded storyline alongside the side cases (which are quite a lot comparing to what I was expecting) make it so much better than the original. I am a proud backer of the kickstarter campaign. I have no regrets. It was so worth it. The story is almost the same, some minor changes here and there. It was rewritten to fit in the new timeline. There are some easter eggs referring to Chapter One but if you're a new player, don't worry. The remake can be played as a standalone game. You are in for a treat ! The characters, what can I say ? The chemistry between the new friends Holmes and Watson is on point. This game tests their relationship to the maximum. The music is splendid. It makes the dark atmosphere even more immersive. The gameplay mechanics are the same as Chapter One's with some little changes. Deductions, finding clues, interact with people, pin evidence to search further, you can change the outfits of both Holmes and Watson. The graphics are great, the game ran very smoothly, it's very well optimized. Frogwares deserves all the praises and our respect for what they've done. Delivering a game in tough times and in so little time. The game was announced in July 2022 and now in April 2023 we are playing it.
Big fan of the original trilogy here. I really don't understand all the hate towards this game. I really enjoyed it but oh well, everyone can have their opinions. The story is really great. I loved it. I didn't have too many expectations, especially after hearing a lot of bad things about the game. The new characters (the same old Gordon family let's say) are lovely. I liked David a lot. The gameplay is a little bit clunky. I recommend to play this game with a xbox/ps controller. Playing it with the keyboard is not the best idea. I really liked the game and I hope that maybe we will get a sequel someday. I would advise you to try the game and not listen to all the things other people say. It depends on each individual's taste after all.
